Does that matter? We’re boosting our assists and goals with Buendia. If you are talking goals, with Grealish being the most fouled player in the league, and JWP to finish them off we’re adding at least 10-13 goals to the team per season, maybe more. Plus if defenders realise this and avoid fouling Jack, it just gives him license to rip defences apart. Either way it would add significant firepower to our forward line.

I agree to some degree, but at times I feel like we’re shoehorning him into the number 6 role, when his skills would be suited further forward. On that basis I don’t think he needs to be much more imposing, I think we need to utilise him differently.

For whatever reason Doug has kind of felt like a loan player with that buy back clause hanging over him. I’ve not really been able to emotionally invest in him, but I will when the clause lapses.

I never saw them play well together unfortunately. But then it was before the time where 3 in midfield was prolific in most club sides. -
I think DCL is a decent player, but if Kane gets injured and all we have up front at a major international competition is DCL, we aint getting out of the group.

I appreciate the logistics argument, and I am sure you are right, but the valuation thing surely depends on the type of tournament they (assuming they are internationals) have. If they are under the radar now and they have fantastic tournaments, then it makes sense if at all possible to do the business now, right? Plus the main argument in favour of a quick deal with Buendia is that there are other folks sniffing around. If Arsenal are constrained by a sell to buy policy, then if it's me I am banging Buendias door down with a contract to get it done while the competition's hands are tied.
