    I’ll be honest, Belgium have not done a fat lot this half. Russia have come into it by pressing, and going more direct to bypass midfield.

    I only switched over to Belgium game after Denmark, so just catching up with highlights during half time. Lukaku is frighteningly good.

    100 percent agree. Refereeing in the Italy game was fantastic. Let the game flow. Players realised they weren’t getting stupid dives and just got on with it. It’s like watching proper football again. Really hope this is the direction it goes in the Premier league, but I doubt it.

    Angel was awesome. Pace sort of dropped off towards the end, but always played for the shirt. Loved him.

    Good post. I’m not sure I think Leeds and West Ham will drop off, though. I think they’ll both invest. We have to be prepared for an almighty fight in that ‘best of the rest’ category, as I think the competition there will be mega strong.

    Man, his ability to ride a tackle and retain possession is incredible.

    As you say in your second paragraph I think we still need better defensive options in midfield to protect our back four. Where we differ is that I think it would be a key signing. Without one (assuming Nakamba doesn't step up, which he might well do) against sides who keep the ball well, we'll still be a team that struggles to get our front line engaged at times, albeit one with a devastating attack when we do manage to get the ball forward.
