  1. Honestly I think talk of sacking after one quarter of a bad season after getting us promoted and keeping us up is embarrassing. It's always bloody drama, drama, crisis, crisis, entitlement bloody entitlement with Villa fans. I've seen it for 20 years and it's got us absolutely f***ing nowhere. People have been attacking Grealish because of a lack of loyalty, and over the years demanding the loyalty of players and managers when they exhibit none in return! Because of a few losses after losing by some distance our best player one week before the new season. We get rid of DS, and bring in some no mark who has had a good season in the French or Spanish league, or a former player with no managerial experience and we deserve everything we'll get, which is relegated. I say we, but if DS is sacked i'm f***ing done with Villa. All this 'our club', 'one of us' stuff. Fans are full of shit man.
  2. How about not getting on their f***ing back every time we lose?
  3. If the comedian was your mate and you drove him to the gig, would you be the first to shout ‘you’re shit mate’?
  4. Yess. Come on Villa. Get some confidence back and let’s have these.
  5. I’m not saying that a lot of Villa fans are entitled w***ers, but they sure do act like it sometimes. I actully think it’s one of the biggest barriers to success we have.
  6. Stick around on here and keep an eye out. You will see what I mean.
  7. I kind of get the impression that perhaps almost as much as any game in the three decades I’ve been a villa fan that a sizeable proportion of our fan base would love it if we lost today.
  8. Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
  9. Was that Laursen (difficult to keep up with this thread). If so then I agree. IIRC he was injured a fair bit, but when fit he was outstanding. Not as much physically, but his ability to read situations. Not entirely unlike God.
  10. I agree with some of what you say, but i'm not with you on Townsend. His workrate, and willingness to do the dirty work in Midfield was crucial to Atkinson's villa side, just like Draper was to Brian Little's
  11. Westwood played the ball backwards more than the All Blacks
  12. With all due respect, with the exception of Gueye, they were all absolute dog vomit.
  13. What, you thought we were giving our thoughts on here to influence management? It's a fun hypothetical for a horrible Thursday
  14. It's a hard subject this.. Overrated....difficult really. I'm not sure villa fans are optimistic enough to overrate any player. Most fans think our players are shit most of the time, even when they are not, because they confuse form and talent. Downing maybe? Bacuna? Baros? Barry? Actually I've just thought of the correct answer- it's Gabby. Head down, run (very fast) in a straight line, exhibit almost no guile or vision. Underrated: Joachim- scored way more goals than he's given credit for. Hendrie- Came across as a bit of a knob, but some of his goals were outstanding. He was a great AMC before it was widely used. Ugo- His pace was deceptive and last ditch slide tackling was precise af. Alan Wright- loved him. He'd be much more loved in a modern team with the way fullbacks/wingbacks are deployed nowadays. There are loads of underrated players. Too many to go through while I'm at work!
  15. Tekkers was an unbelievable player for us. I don't care one jot about what he did for Liverpool or Palace, he was absolute class for Villa. Singlehandedly kept us in the Prem. Came up big in important games. Outstanding player.
  16. I think that's mainly due to the nature of home cinema though. It's not like I don't watch 'worthy' films, but with kids it's such a faff to actually manufacture time to go to out to the flicks, I will probably only do it for big epic films where watching it on a massive 40 ft screen is going to form part of the spectacle. People have 4k TVs at home, and stream in UHD these days. Plus the wait for new films to arrive on streaming platforms is shorter than ever. So for dramas, documentaries, character pieces etc, I'll just watch it at home. Especially given the risks of covid. Cinemas are for better or worse specialising in 'event' screenings. Which is why i'm surprised they don't show more live concerts, theatre recordings etc, especially when it's so hard to get tickets for real concerts.
  17. Think the train is 2 and the airplane is 3. Didn’t enjoy 3 as much, but 4 is amazing. Hope it’s good anyway.
  18. I've just seen the Uncharted trailer. As a massive fan of the games I could probably live with Tom Holland as Nathan Drake mainly because he is known for his incredible real life agility, but Mark Wahlberg as Sully is horrible horrible casting. The action in the trailer looks great to be fair, but I know I'm gonna struggle getting into it.
  19. Also he get's this credit as visionary, and that his films are visually spectacular. I wonder how much of that is down to his DP?
  20. Have you noticed that the way that films like this (ID and the very similar (story wise) Donnie Brasco) show the main cop 'going to the dark side', or 'losing themselves' or whatever, is by filming them giving their wives a damn good seeing to over a kitchen appliance? That must be the moral threshold. And why there are security guards at the doors in Curry's.
