I was going to preface that by saying 'if they keep their players'. If they get Kamada, they could field Olise, Eze, Kamada, Wharton. That is some serious talent.

Again, it depends on who else we've got lined up in midfield. Soule can play attacking mid, and is rated 'very strong' on FBref for throughballs. His descriptions look a lot like Buendia tbh, so he could be fighting for that spot.

Yes please, plus we get to deny a rival, Crystal Palace, who are apparently also sniffing around Soule. Crystal Palace will be a big threat next year.

Also, in your example there, we have arbitrarily picked values for both Duran and Gallagher of 35M and 50M respectively. Given that we bought Duran for 15M that would be PSR neutral, but we'd have a player worth an extra 15M, so we'd have 'made' this extra value without incurring PSR loss? Who decides in a straight swap what a player is worth? Say we swap Duran with Gallagher straight up. Could we say it was a 50M player for a 50M player? a 100M for 100M? Does it matter? Point is, would this not be a way around PSR?

So if we swapped a player we bought for 15M straight up for another, who is generally regarded (by 'them') as worth 30M, we could be PSR neutral AND increase equity in the club?

Quick question regarding PSR (but also transfers to be on topic). If we swapped, say Duran, with another player of equivalent value, what influence would it have on PSR other than wages? Who decides the value? Just as a hypothetical, we're reportedly looking at McKennie, who Monchi has said is worth around 15M. We bought Jhon for 15M. Would a swap be neutral in terms of PSR if the wages are similar? Or does it come down to accounting periods? Some bright spark on here will know, I'm sure.

You don't know who else might then replace him. He's not irreplaceable, and if he wants to leave, we really don't have much choice. He's not as integral to the squad as Grealish was, and we got champions league without Grealish.

The Luiz thing would sting a lot less if we got Guendouzi, I'm not gonna lie. I said in Jan that he is almost a perfect fit for where we need upgrades and cover, and I maintain that he'd be great here.

Just heard that Bruno wants a new contract. By all accounts there will be clauses in it to include; £10,000 every time he moans to the ref, £50,000 per successful dive, and £15,000 for each time he whinges like a little bitch with his hands raised in the air while the opposition breaks on the counter. Shrewd move.
