So am I right in saying if Wales beat us and Iran draw with USA, England and Wales go through on GD? I want us to win obviously but that would be a decent result for the home nations, and I would like to see both the yanks and Iran go home if I'm honest.
Bailey's going to be big for us. Unai has made a career of extracting the best out of talent like Bailey. I think he's very much an 'arm round the shoulder' guy.
I don't think it's a coincidence that among the first photos we saw of Unai at our training ground was with an arm round Leon. He gets it.
He was a winger stuck at a club with no need of wingers. Now he has a purpose.
I know he's trying to make a statement of some kind about the German protest, but it isn't very good, because I have no idea what he's trying to say. Is he for the German protest? against it? Does he have a beef with Ozil? I am none the wiser.
Bizarrely I've been to the small town in NZ (Te Awamutu) that Crowded House are from. You wouldn't want to live there. Boring as.
Raglan down the road is cool though.
I became obsessed with WOTW, especially the Jeff Wayne one because my parents scared the absolute shit out of me with it as a kid (they had no idea it terrified me). As a result I became very interested in it as an adult- understand your fears etc. As a result I read the book about twice annually, and have watched/heard almost every adaptation.
The Jeff Wayne musical is among the best to be sure, but not the newer version with Liam Neeson, as it lacks gravitas (and Phil Lynott).
My favourite is actually related to the Jeff Wayne musical. He actually made (or lent his name) to an audio drama which starred Michael Sheen as the Journalist. It's not a musical, but uses some of Jeff Wayne's music as background. It expands the whole thing greatly and is absolutely gripping imo. The most faithful remake I have come across. Very very much recommended (it's on audible).
