Must admit that until I just looked at transfermarkt, I didn't realise he'd had two injuries (presumably related). They suggest the first was a ruptured cruciate, which kept him out for almost exactly a calendar year, and they show the second to be a knee injury 1 day after the first, which kept him out for an additional 100- odd days. I thought it was a single injury.

Excellent, a whole load of us at Villa still want him to do well even though we know it will likely not be here, and still curse the name (I won't utter it) of the twunt that tried to end his career. He's had some tough breaks and we wish him nothing but success.

Actually now you mention it, I used to work with a Mexican who had another name we only found out after 5 years, so I get this. I've just never heard Emery's used. I don't frequent twitter, even to follow our boys, I'm afraid.

For me, Unai is the first manager I can remember at Villa who has a plan for the the whole game. One who can actually put a gameplan together that maximises the chances of victory, even if it means not playing our 'best' 11, or 'best' formation. We set up according to who will be most effective against the specific weapons the opposition has. Bednarek and Cash as subs today-who on here would have done that? And the coaching appears to have transformed this team.

This is why for me, players like Mbappe and Ronaldo being called the GOAT is borderline embarrassing. Pele was the original, and lit up the game like no one ever has. Rest in Peace, legend.

Look, it was a throwaway comment, made when he was one of 3 heavily linked managers. You wanna see how I felt about his appointment, read my first post on this thread (pg 13). My point was that the original post was trying to scoff at critics that didn't exist.

Not to piss on your bonfire, but no one actually said that. Several people, myself included said that while we welcomed the appointment, we HOPED the appointment would not be another Remi Garde. I don't remember anyone actually being against UE's appointment.

While I like the AC games, mostly the early ones, I'm finding Ghost of Tsushima much more immersive and enjoyable at the moment. About 5-6 hours in.

I shall be sinking a few rum and cokes tonight, opening a new bottle of Mount Gay Eclipse. Maybe a couple of cheeky glasses of Baileys, too. I also came across someone on the Internet saying that adding Amaretto to Corona beer makes it taste like hard Dr Pepper. I may have to try it.
