OK in my opinion, it is irresponsible to put a player who is developing into a situation where he is expected to get goals for a Premier League team. He's never played at first team level in any team in any league.

He's played 15 career games in under 18's competitions. He's nowhere near ready. We put him in the pressure of the first team we'll break him.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. I feel that is fairly standard practice for any organisation.

This also. Rory Wilson is in our under 18 squad. He can't lead the line yet.

Well without any scouting whatsoever Chelsea have 8 forward players and 7 spots over and above squad registration limits, so I'd perhaps start looking there. But we will have detailed scouting reports on every team in the league.

With the exception of Bailey, who was rubbish, none of those players have ever played as a central forward.

Fine, but they already sold players for £17M this window, couldn't they stump up the extra £9M or so internally?

Well yeah, that's a fair point. I was mainly thinking about their January spoff-fest.

A few have said this, and whilst I agree in principle, what if this oversight leaves us finishing, say 14th. Who on our list of top players is going to join us over the teams who've just spent (ok not all of them will improve, but some) and are ahead of us in the league? It's harder to sell a project when it appears to the outside like it's not working (even if we, who follow the club every week, know it is).
