Well they live in the Desert, if they are not placing ev panels as quickly as they can make them, then they have missed a trick. Point is, they are an oil state, and in 25 years, when people REALLY start to drop like flies because of climate change, they are going to find it a hard sell.
Bailey out, Traore on the bench. Interesting changes, especially with McGinn not only coming into the team, but as Captain.
We'll struggle for width, no doubt, but we might be trying to keep things compact against this lot.
We used to be with Octopus at our last place. Never had a hint of a problem, and had a 100% renewable tariff. No complaints at all.
Scottish Power, however.........
I think the Qataris would be well advised not to chuck all their money away. Oil demand is going to plunge in the next few decades, one way or another.
Probably an unpopular opinion, by I much preferred Spirited Away to Moving Castle. I feel like SA is my favourite Ghibli by some distance, although I do like Totoro. Grave of the Fireflies was great, but I don't think I can ever watch it again, it was devastating.
A State of National emergency has been declared in New Zealand after being impacted by Cyclone (Hurricane) Gabrielle. They have had nearly 400mm of rain in 24hrs (our annual average is generally between 800mm and 1400mm). Lots of landslides, floods and all manner of carnage.
There will, unfortunately be folks who don't make it out of this one.
Best wishes to all those in the firing line today, and over the next few days as conditions worsen.
But that's not because they are seeing the light from a humanitarian perspective, it just means they thought they would have smashed Ukraine by now and are disappointed they've not killed more.
I think the telling thing is that the locations that all of these objects were shot down line up quite nicely with the present/recent location of the Jetstream across the Continental US.
I think that points to balloons of some type. I know they are capable of some movement, but would still largely follow the jetstream, at least initially to get over the US.
This. I think the two era defining cinematic events for me have been Endgame and LOTR:ROTK. Neither the subsequent hobbit films, or MCU output gas done much for me, although I did like WandaVision.
I just this weekend got round to buying No way home (I have Disney+ but damn you Sony!). Watched half but the kids were going mental, so I'll have to rewatch. Seemed good from what I could see while popcorn and yoghurt were being flung at my head.
Was it on Mt. Washington? I had a tour round the weather station there, and it boasted that it had recorded the highest wind speed on earth.
Awesome place.
I spent a bit of time when I was at uni over in New England, btw. Exchange programme. I was in Keene State College in New Hampshire. Beautiful part of the world.
