  1. Also is JPA taller than I thought, or is UE shorter than I thought? Tough call.
  2. Get that man some initials on his puffer jacket for god sake!!
  3. This blew me away. Watch to the end in one sitting. Could not tear my eyes away.
  4. Ah the old 'he got the ball so it wasn't a foul' defence. Never mind that it was a scissor challenge. Idiot.
  5. I think what I've noticed most about games under Emery, and the thing that we as Villa fans have to get used to, is that there is an overarching plan for each game. What I mean by this is that previous managers seem to start with the team they think is going to win the game, and then make subs when that plan falls short or does not work. The subs are there as a plan B. I get the distinct impression from the way that Emery selects teams, notably with the way we've used Moreno and possibly Buendia also, that the subs form part of Plan A. It's easy to say in retrospect but the way we started against Everton, I feel we were aiming to stifle them, with a view to opening them up later in the game using planned, more creative subs. I can't prove this of course, not being privvy to tactical discussions, but it feels that way. If that is the case, we need to be prepared to be potentially disappointed at times with team selections, and be patient, knowing that there are plans to unlock stubborn or dangerous teams that transcend the starting XI.
  6. Something that is beginning to pi$$ me off is people talking about the Mendela effect as if it's evidence that we are in some sort of parallel universe, rather than being wrong or having a poor memory. Imagine being so conceited and stubborn that when you are faced with a mistake you made, you blame reality.
  7. Not been able follow it today, but from reading the match thread it sounds like we edged a tight game, and pressed home our advantage at the end. Dead chuffed about the win!
  8. I have no idea where this form came from, but Ollie has been making me eat humble pie, and I f***ing love it. Come on Ollie!
  9. I hope you are wrong, but I fear you may be right. That said, getting Zelenski in a room with Xi might change things. He's a force of nature. China could stop this war by withdrawing economic support for Putin. From day 1 they were the only ones who ever could (apart from Russia).
  10. Why the everloving hell would you not think anything of a man in a wheelchair inside your apartment. I'd have been in the travelodge down the road in about 5 minutes, and stayed there.
  11. I wonder why they are looking inside the cockpit? I've seen drivers have a look at exterior bodywork/engineering quite often- how the car works. The only times I can remember any interesting tidbits coming from inside the cockpit has been when there were concerns over cheating/rule bending, such as the notorious f duct shenanigans (drivers leg altering airflow), the Mercedes DAS system which was activated from the steering column, and the old 90's Mclaren with it's extra brake pedal. Wonder what they are looking for?
  12. Buy an apartment in a creepy old mental hospital? Nope. Double nope. Eight shades of nope.
  13. Exactly, this is what I meant. I didn't mean Kamara was right to hoof, just like it wasn't right to work it back for Emi to hoof. My point was, that it is up to those not on the ball to support the play. Without that and without a viable option, risky or otherwise, you are left with the one option, hoof. Which is the opposite of what Emery wants. This is the challenge really, and it's what we've been crying out for- a system. Why it is taking longer for some to buy into the system Emery is trying to install is a mystery I suppose.
  14. If he passes to Mings, their no 16 can get the press on, and there's still no outball, so as you say back to Emi, press, still no outball, then hoof is the only option. Kamara needs midfielders to show for the ball here to allow us to keep possession in useful areas.
  15. In fairness, looking at that picture Kamara has got nothing on. No one is showing for the simple ball, and any pass he makes there is going to be a risk. That said he does seem to be in enough space to bring it down and move with it himself.
  16. Or if it interfaced with Google Street View. I would love being able to travel again.
  17. I'd love one, but 529 wing-wangs is absolutely bonkers. No way could I justify that, especially since when I got ps vr, all the decent games for it just dried up. Unless Sony get a seriously impressive stable of games for PSVR2, I'm not going to go near it.
  18. That's the same pattern my old Spectrum used to make when it crashed.
  19. I should have said 'so far', you are right.
  20. Yes! He'll be a big boost for us when he's back.
  21. In fairness the current food shortage hints as much to the terrifying future effects of climate change as to the terrifying future effects of Brexit. Which is more terrifying? There's only one way to find out.........fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!
