  1. I just think they are so big now that they play too safe. Their renaissance happened when the got Lasseter in, and whatever you think of him, he took risks on a story. He went in 2018, and things have kind of dropped off a cliff.
  2. Maybe one for the things that p*** you off thread, but can anyone explain why they are doing a live action version of Moana, (which they will undoubtedly have to do a massive amount of CG for), WITH THE ORIGINAL CAST? I think Disney have gone off the deep end. The original was great, and only released 7 years ago. As much as everyone loves Dwayne, it's not gonna be much of a reimagining if it has the exact same actors. Why not tell a different story with the same characters? Hard not to see it as cynical really.
  3. Emery has said in an interview before the Forest game that we will be in for a striker in the summer, and that we are after 2 players for every position. I know it's a lazy link, but I just have this strong feeling that we'll be in for Tammy. Don't think he’ll be averse to coming back, and it gives us an option. He's a different player to Ollie as well, so tactically there is that. Also, I can see us getting a backup DM, but I would be surprised (thankfully) if it's Phillips. I would have said yes to him 3 or 4 years ago, but I think he's possibly on the downslide.
  4. It definitely has a vanilla/cream soda thing going on, but you are right there is a fruity edge to it. I would have gone with strawberries and cream/ice cream, but then my taste buds are f***ed.
  5. Hope he does it. I like Deano marginally more than I can't stand Leicester. And I really like Deano.
  6. I just like that they know they are newcomers and treat it all with respect, not like a plaything (although essentially that's what it is). I genuinely think they came in without realising how football grabs you and doesn't let go. They are (or were) outsiders, showing you why something you've always, sometimes unconsciously loved is actually brilliant.
  7. Glad I'm not the only person who saw that film. Love it. Stuart Wilson plays a great baddie.
  8. Big no for Zaha. Would have considered it 2 or 3 years ago (him being a whinging twunk notwithstanding), but not now. Yes to Smith-Rowe, but it's unlikely imo. Edit- Unless Emi calls him up and reminds him of his own renaissance here after Arse.
  9. It's a bold choice, I'll give him that, but how much can he actually do with the last few games of the season. They must be hoping Maddison can do a Grealish.
  10. If he goes down he'll never get another chance.
  11. Just seen RR's interview after the game. Very magnanimous. A class act.
  12. Ohhhhhhh Deano, bad move, man. Don't see anything good here. If he stays up it will be 'because of the squad' in the media. If he goes down it's two relegations on the CV, and his last ever top flight job. Wanted him to take a mid table Champ side up.
  13. Would you have a different spec. for drones operating over enemy territory, though? I would imagine not. Point taken on the other stuff, but I would imagine you don't fly anything, especially recon stuff, anywhere near targets where you can't afford to lose it. Seems job 1 to me, especially if, as you say, short of making it a mission impossible style self destructing bomb, it cannot be kept out of the hands of the enemy.
  14. Given that drones operate over enemy territory, you would have thought there would be some sort of contingency for this, no?
  15. Yeah, I'm not discounting the possibility that Unai cones up with something bonkers that gets us a result, but I think I have more of an expectation for containment, rather than us winning. Again, hope I'm wrong. Newcastle are tough though, these days.
  16. Ah the old indirect free kicks, I do kind of miss them actually. Remember in the 90s when you used to have 9 players on the goal line, and the attacking team would just leather it as hard as possible to see if it would pinball in.
  17. Hate to say it, but I think we might get turned over in this one. Very much hope I'm wrong, but I think this might be 'the blip'. Ash might be overrun by Joelinton. Not so worried about Isak, although he's also in form, cos I think Mings will have his number, but their wide forwards could stuff us. Wouldn't be the end of the world if so, though, we have so much potential, particularly after a transfer window.
  18. Have you tried Wildjac Cherry Oak Rum? Locally produced (Bewdley), and so so good. No need for a mixer, just smooth as. I have a bottle on the go at all times. Not tried any of their other flavours as yet.
  19. That's why they never start a conversation with 'Hello, we're Jehova's Witnesses'. It's always a sentence (usually a question) that no right minded human could disagree with, like 'Would you like to live a perfect life and live forever?' Sorry to hear about your Grandma in law, btw.
  20. Same. I've bought every game since 2008, but that would be the deal breaker.
  21. When I was a college student in the 90's, I was sleeping off a heavy night before, when I heard a knock at the door. It was about midday. I schlepped downstairs and opened the door, dressed only in my underpants. I heard the word 'Jesus' uttered as the door swung open, but as the majesty of my bepanted figure greeted the two well dressed gentlemen on my doorstep, the talking stopped. We stood there in complete silence regarding each other for 30 seconds. No one said a word. Then at the same time, they turned and walked away, and I closed the door. They literally thought I was beyond redemption. And in fairness, they were right. I really wished later on that I'd said 'can I have a pamphlet'. Would have been a good kiss-off line.
