I can see this. Tekkers at his best could do it all on his own. Probably the best striker, perhaps bar Yorke I've ever seen in a Villa shirt. And in no way does that denigrate Ollie at the moment. The fact that they are being talked of together is a massive complement to Watkins.

Watkins has to be in the squad. Has to. JJ should defo be in with a shout too. The biggest thing Southgate should take from today is from the management side.

Ollie is so good at the moment, but as much as he is confident, strong and tenacious, I think the form is also due to the fact that in the system Unai plays, Moreno, JJ, Buendia and McGinn know where and when he is going to make the runs. Saw loads of 'no look' passes today. They don't need to see the runs, they just know they are going to be made. That's all down to Unai, and the masses of preparation they are doing now. I'm convinced of it.

Yeah it was only partly said in jest. As we've seen, UE can get the best out of otherwise bit players. Stevenage was not his, or our finest hour, but it's part of a process, and the longer the players are exposed to it, the stronger we get. -

I just worked with some drillers who worked on this project (gutted I wasn't engineering it). If people like myself are involved then it's fairly safe to say that things are well into the design phase, and the architects/designers are looking at practical implementation solutions.
