We've had three nights of short lived intense storms, punctuated by calm and sunny periods. The storms were crazy. Went from still to 30+mph winds in about an hour with torrential rain, and then back to still as quickly as it came. Localised surface water flooding, and a tree has fallen in my kids school (no damage, thankfully).

Awesome tactical analysis on this page. I love the detail, and the way we are flexible. As a layman, it sort of feels like an opposition 5-3-2 setup could nullify it somewhat. Would potentially remove all overloads except those in our own half. If I played against us, I'd set up as a 5-3-2, and tell my left wing back and left midfielder to bomb toward Young/Cash on the turnover. That said, I'm sure Emery will have Plan B for that eventuality.

I agree with much of what you said, IF it relates to performance. None of those things, with the exception possibly of physical fitness excuse a lack of effort, though. But as I say, Emery talked to him personally. I have no doubts he has done his homework, and whatever prep is required to check out his attitude.

You see that video showing Vardy playing for a non-league club with an police ankle tag? He had to come off at half time during away games, jump in a car and get back home before curfew.

I must admit, if I was his manager and he gave that little effort, I'd have f***ed him off to train with the U18s. Hopefully Emery will get him to apply himself. I'm sure he will. And if not, f*** him off to the u18s. As long as his contract is not 3+ years, we've not got much to lose, and a potentially top player for slim pickings.

If Emery called him personally, I'm pretty sure he would have sized up his personality. This will be really good, I can feel it. I'm still a bit hesitant until we see him at VP. It's still at agent stage until he does the pen-paper thing.

He's now approaching a second case of Treason. Why is this man not in jail? 500 years ago he would have had his head lopped off 3 times by now. Not that I approve of capital punishment, but I'm trying to point out the seriousness of inciting a coup d'etat, and effectively hoarding classified nuclear and defence documents, while having previously had strong links with Putin. I personally hate Trump for the way he p***ed all over environmental legislation and withdrew from the Paris agreement, but there's something for everyone to loathe.
