  1. I thought there was an instalment option!
  2. Planning application in for the lighting scheme for The Terrance View - if anyone's interested in that sort of thing..... https://eplanning.birmingham.gov.uk/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/Generic/StdDetails.aspx?PT=Planning Applications On-Line&TYPE=PL/PlanningPK.xml&PARAM0=1257349&XSLT=/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/SiteFiles/Skins/Birmingham/xslt/PL/PLDetails.xslt&FT=Planning Application Details&PUBLIC=Y&XMLSIDE=/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/SiteFiles/Skins/Birmingham/Menus/PL.xml&DAURI=PLANNING
  3. I expect this due to it being a minor change - rather than a full new application. They may publicise when the application's submitted.
  4. I have a feeling this one is going to be Heck driven - fits with the heritage driven approach he talks about....
  5. The 2 years probably also includes the significant re-fit of the Trinity...
  6. I don't actually agree with this - a significant part of phase 1 is modernising the Trinity Road Stand - and they do have plans for the Holte - so our existing infrastructure can be upgraded. The Doug Ellis is the one that is most difficult/unlikely to be fixable - due to the narrowness of the stand.... We will see what if anything they come up with for that!
  7. I don't think it would. I suspect there is an answer to this!
  8. The answer will be extending the Doug Ellis over the road or even closing the road, I expect..... We will see what is what when they announce the detail of the master plan and phase 2 of the redevelopment.
  9. I think the fact that they're updating the plans and going for an amended application shows that they want to start work sooner rather than later. If you were going to drop this all together why bother getting permission to change the building? Just let the planning sit there and not develop..... Also, is anyone able to get to the consultation this week?
  10. In the letter they said there'd be some elevation changes to the North Stand proposals - so I suspect it might be further extended to accommodate the shop and cafe. If it wasn't they'd (I think) be able to make the internal changes without any need for planning permission.
  11. I am really confused about the reaction here - the stand is still happening - as designed - and Villa Live will be coming along just later. This isn't a cock up or bad management - it is just finding the best way to deliver the scheme.
  12. So, I don't think this is a big thing.... I expect it might go something like: Refurbish the current site asap planning is granted - move villa staff into new admin accommodation in the summer to start work on North Stand immediately. Then look at if Villa Live is still needed. The proposed refurbishment of the current space sounds like it will do most of what Villa Live would. I think this is a plan to speed delivery... This shows commitment and willingness to get on. I doubt it is cost saving. It will also be interesting to see any plans for the Holte and Doug Ellis.
  13. Agree that would be a planning variation. I'd like to see Villa provide a short update - perhaps from an introductory from Chris Heck?
  14. I think we may also be getting a separate training kit sponsor... So I wonder if they will announce this today and launch all the gear together this afternoon?
  15. I think we do - as it is controlled within the VSports Group,
  16. I am not sure the club have even confirmed the deal yet!
  17. I was just looking at the stadium plan for season tickets for next season, and noticed the 1888 seats in the Trinity. There is also a one bullet explainer about what's changing for them.... "The Club have also reviewed Blocks B3, B4 and B5 due to their proximity to hospitality with some of the best views within the stadium. Seats within these blocks will be upgraded to an ‘1888 seat’ which, for an increased price, includes a padded seat and club tie/scarf." I don't recall the Club providing any further info on this - have I missed it?
  18. Back to Terrace View - it looks like the development and extended hours have just been granted planning permission today: http://eplanning.idox.birmingham.gov.uk/publisher/docs/837E5A60994623924BBFAD4486240A95/Document-837E5A60994623924BBFAD4486240A95.pdf
  19. Interestingly, it looks like we've set up a website specifically for Villa Park - I am guessing to drive more non-match day use and revenue: https://www.villaparkstadium.com/
  20. I live in Hampshire and can't get to VP regularly - and when I do it is built around spending time with my Dad. I would be really interested in something like this on a match-by-match basis - and the fact you get a programme and two free drinks is quite good. I think there probably is a market for something like this - and I also agree that it doesn't seem to be taking anything away from current Holte season ticket holders? There will still be food and drink - this is just providing extra?
  21. @OutByEaster?Is the upper Holte GA+ planned to be opened for next season?
  22. To me it looks like you could reengineer the corner of the Holte and Doug Ellis, though it doesn't look like there is going to be road access via the new North Stand - and so that access will still need to stay. I wonder if you could wrap around both levels and maintain access? Hopefully the club will release the wider master plan soon!
  23. Thanks for sharing @OutByEaster?. Really interesting - and this looks like it could be done over the summer if the plans are approved? Is the wider area around the Holte End (the car park and pub) part of the longer term master plan work?
