  1. good idea making this a sticky. what about the 'bells are ringing' song? wasn't there another songs thread a while back which had some good songs....
  2. Thats true... though i'd prefer to get Owen than Saha. and Man U will only go for Owen if they can't get their other top target (whoever that is). So we might be in with a shout for Owen if we want him. and at £9M, he's a real bargain in todays inflated prices.
  3. I don't know if this has been mentioned already but... In the Daily Mirror today, its says that Michael Owen has got a sell-out clause at £9million. Man Utd might be interested if they can't get their first choice targets... Would we be interested in him... he used to be class before all the injuries. so that'd be Carew & Owen up front....
  4. I hope you don't mind, but I thought i'd be interesting to add an attendance table compared to the other premiership teams. It doesn't include the Arsenal match.
  5. oh yes... Cheese & Chips. now that is just class. i vote: 1) Chilli Sauce 2) Cheese
  6. Hold on..... i just realised whats missing from this Poll. Chilli Sauce!!!!!
  7. Let Mon decide whether we enter or not. I will supoort whatever he thinks.
  8. Champions League. Its more prestigious, only the best teams in europe take part, and it makes everyone in the world stand up & take note of that club.
  9. 1) We need more Midlands teams in the premiership (and less london teams). 2) Local derby games raise the profile of the club across the rest of the UK. 3) Local derby games will increase our attendance. 4) How good would it be if the premiership had Villa, Blues, Wolves, WBA, Coventry. 5) More local away matches... less travel costs. 6) Derby games raises the profile of Birmingham & the Midlands. 7) Good banter between the fans of the teams around match days.
  10. don't mind if he plays for anyone, inc SHA. Bham City? who are they? no need to think of a non-premiership side as our biggest rivals. In 2 years time, our biggest rivals will be Man Utd, or Liverpool or Arsenal... ooo, thats a bit of a contraversial one, isn't it?
  11. hahahahaha... we're just not used to spending money in transfer windows!! lol.
  12. Great shout, young, talented, unhappy at his club, has every possibility of being an England international in the future. I'm sure MON is aware of the situation. Is he still expected to leave West Ham?
  13. yeah, but he might just be saying that, until the right offer comes in. you never know, stranger things have happened.
  14. On Sky Sports News, Boro have put a bid in for Alidiere from Arsenal. That would be a useful addition to our team, seeing how we could really do with a striker.
  15. ? Seconded.....'?' Thirded. Fourthed !! whats going on? I think Lukeavfc has some explaining to do! yeah, have we really signed him? are we even linked with him lately? don'y get me all excited like that if its only a joke!
  16. Agreed. If he plays well, Man U will want him back... if he plays rubbish, we won't want him. either way, he'll be back at man u in the summer.
  17. i know that most big transfers happen on the last couple of days of the transfer window.... but could we please please sign a player soon.
  18. Sorry, i should have mentioned the source for Ronaldo - it was a link from Newsnow.co.uk, i think the story was from ESPN.
  19. Ronaldo looks like he has gone to Milan. better weather! Spurs are looking to buy Heinze from Man Utd - wouldn't that have been a good target for us, rather than Bardsley on loan? or even as well as Bardsley?
  20. He didn't mean 15.58 GMT.. it was 15.58 (some other time zone)!
  21. yeah, probably worth a cheeky bid. How old is he now? he could be the experienced guy for our youngsters to learn from.
  22. Daily Mail says that Spurs had a £7mill offer for Bent rejected. If they are looking for a striker, could this be because we are buying Defoe/Keane?
  23. well, you almost won the bet. except for the bit about Angel scoring!
  24. I'm guessing that there have probably been quite a few bids (cheeky & non-cheeky) faxed across to various clubs already. The other clubs are probably looking at these bids & discussing what they would accept, then will reject the bid. then we'll go in with a higher bid, etc... and by Jan 31st, we will have 5 new players. 2 players from Plan A, 2 from plan B, and 1 from plan C. Thats how its playing out in my head anyway.....
  25. Transfer window been open for 17 hours. Haven't we signed anyone yet? lol :?
