  1. Here Latest attempt is £5.5m. I think it's clear what game they're playing. i think its great after the comments from Brady and co the other week about how we shouldnt bid for Parker as they dont want to sell and it just insettles clubs and players. I hope they keep bidding all summer in increments of 500k, get a bid accepted at the end for Dorrens say "No, why would i play for a slaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag"
  2. In an ideal world, in this one nice guys finish last. Look at the questions, focus your studies, get on the course you want to go on and have the career you want. If you go through life worrying about upsetting people you'll get no where.
  3. I think you should just agree to disagree before the thread gets locked, you both have different opinions and Chindies is wrong
  4. were only talking about looking at questions not answers arent we? Sure it helps to research your answer but you've still got to provide the information and format your points. Im guessing this isnt in relation to multiple choice answers or something, on that basis i think its ok and isnt really any different to being told what subject matter to research by a teacher anyway, which as i remember it is how it happens.
  5. i suspect his wages would be over £100k per week. Barry i believe is on about £120k per week.
  6. i suspect Gosling will be looking for first team football, he'll end up at sunderland or the like.
  7. Also is Onuha not a centre back? do we really want another centre back playing right back.
  8. rather than Downing i wonder if he'll look to give Young a role behind the striker? maybe bring Bannan or Albrighton through.
  9. I know imagine how stupid a manager must be to play a defence that was hard to score against and which helped a team become very hard to beat. Stupid Mon!!! As the 7th goal went in at Chelsea and as we went out of Europe were you thinking that ? We are easy to beat when it really matters IMO, the lack of silver or CL proves that. Hard to beat does not equal 3 points unfortunately, hard to beat is a basic requirement we should have had sorted a long time ago. Cueller was dropped for the chelsea game. Young started didnt he?
  10. Luke Young wants to be in London closer to his family his mind wasn't on football last season which is understandable. Cuellar did a decent job in his place, no he wasn't a box to box Brazilian wing back but neither was Young. I would love MON to go out and buy a quality right back but if he doesn't Cuellar is fine in that position. Sorry but you don't know that. If his mind wasn't on football, why did he play around 10 games in a row very well and then when Collins returned was dropped? What because suddenly and co-incidently, the returns of Collins meant that Young weren't concentrating on his football? He simply isn't preferred to Cuellar. Simple. Precisely. Young did not put a foot wrong but MON simply prefers Cuellar. Why I don't know but its hadly surprising that LY apparently wants out when he is ousted from RB by a CB. I like Cuellar and I think he has a great attitude but he is not 'fine' at RB. He drifts infield to much, he has no pace to deal with attacking wingers, he can't overlap effectively and his passing can be wayward. Conversely I think he is a top class CB and better than Collins. As it is we now lose a fine RB and have to find another, probably a kid who will be happy to play second fiddle to Cuellar for a couple of seasons. Not ideal at all and an example of MON's very poor man management and I say that as a supporter of MON. i wouldnt fault Cueller defensively, he was probably better than Luke Young at that this season. His faults lie when he has the ball and the fact that he can offer no attacking contribution.
  11. probably worth bearing in mind that City now have arguably the best squad in the premiership. As well as earning a shed load you can play alongside some of europes best players and have a great shot at some trophies. Not a bad sweetener. Why wouldnt you go there? Because he will beocme one of about 10 top class midfielders, City won't accomadate where he wants to be played, they will always be on the lookout for new signings and the club is totally devoid of any soul nowadays. Where is the sense of achievement for a player winning trophies this way too? At Villa he will have a team built around him. For footballing reasons alone he should definately give it another season at Villa. if he is good enough it wont matter if hes one of ten. As long as hes starting and earning trophies. If he rates himself then he has to fancy that he will play, why spend 30m on him not to play him. (if they do of course). Just about every club who wins the league does it through spending money. do you really think the chelsea players piled their trophies into boxes because they'd "bought" them. Everyone buys the league now, the level of spending may change but its still bought. Who was the last top player to come through the chelsea/united ranks?

  13. disagree, i think he'd play. Toure, Barry and Milner in the middle. Johnson and Silva on the wings. Tevez up front. Potentially a great move for Milner, if he plays and plays well hes probably looking at competing for the premiership and playing in the champions league. Find it strange how people rate him as great and worth 30m plus but not good enough to get in citys starting 11
  14. Loyalty doesnt necessarily come into it. He only goes if we accept a fee. He can obviously play his card but i havent heard any transfer requests going in.
  15. It's completely different PieFacE. Sorry Rob but I think you're badly and sadly deluded if you think we're that much different to City ultimately. There's a lot of this going round at the moment and it smacks of people finding nothing other than the chance to try and take the moral high ground as they've nothing else to use. None of us are happy that Milner, and Barry will have gone to City, none of us like the fact that a shit club like them are all of a sudden mixing it with Europe's elite in the transfer market, none of us like Manchester City. But you don't hear us resorting to ridiculous claims in order to try and make ourselves feel a bit better about it all. Accept it and move on. Whatever mate, you obviously can't accept the fact that some people don't like the idea of "selling out". You don't know me personally so don't try and put it down to the fact that Man City have got a billionaire owner in the last few years. It's nothing to do with that. It's not taking the moral high ground. It's me and my personal feelings on this subject. Whether it's in football, music or anything else. I despise it. I'm only mentioning it now because it effects us directly with City supposedly taking Milner off us. but weve done it with players from other clubs. Blackburn didnt want to sell Warnock, Newcastle didnt want to sell Milner. We used our weight to take players from lower placed clubs, City just have more weight.
  16. i think they'll go for Milner still. Silva Milner Barry Toure Johnson and tevez up front. Decent 5 man midfield with the option of bringing in Adebayor, Santa Cruz, Bellamy, Ireland, De Jong, Viera, Wright Phillips. Love em or hate em thats a squad that should compete with the best.
  17. i'm not sure any sensible person who wants us to be successful would be saying that trickie. Why do you have to lose your integrity to be successful? This really pisses me off. Why do some people find it so hard to believe that others will place their values over instant success? I'd feel no sense of acheivement if we won the league by spending £300m. Well done, you have more money than anyone else :? does this mean you only take pleasure from beating the handful of teams that have spent more than us in the last few years.
  18. Yes he is. £28m for milner is too good to turn down but I don't trust MON to spend the money wisely. We really need to kick on next season finishing 6th 4 seasons in a row would not be good. By my count we now need to buy a RB, two CM's and a Striker and that's just for the first team. Starting the season with 4 brand new players in your first XI with possibly another 2-3 squad players on the bench. Not sure MON has the transfer nous to make it work... I love villa fans, when was finishing 6th 4 seasons in a row not good? what an arrogant statement
  19. you really think the first you'd heard of this would be a player announcing it on twitter?
  20. i own prescription rayban aviators. bloody brilliant
  21. Bonkers positive. Yes, we've just signed a new £20m sponsorship contract and we have a billionaire owner who has consistently spent money on improving the club/squad plus we have quite a few players to sell/release to raise funds. I dont know where I get my ideas from. The owner also indicated sell to buy, as well as the club being self sustaining. Your also assuming players will want to come to Villa and sit on the bench. MON has shown no evidence that fighting for your place ensures you have a chance of being in the first team unless your a favourite. Players are dumb agents are not. Good luck with your 5 players in. MONs lack of rotation works both way. A player may think he'll come to villa to sit on a bench and get few opportunities but he may also believe he can come in an establish himself and is unlikely to be dropped if he makes the odd mistake.
  22. Apparently were in for Cho Yong Hyung, South Korean Defender. Should probably have its own thread. Football 365
  23. didnt work for us, tried everything. he was two weeks late and induced. Best of luck. My lad has just started teething, manage to rack up a full 3 hours sleep last night.
