I made my lifelong Uni mates much later in the Academic Year Graduation - didn't even know I'd graduated until the evening after when I was informed by a friend that they read my name out and after that point my degree couldn't legally be taken back Those life events? If they were me, they missed nothing

Stuff is still expensive, it just has built in obsolescence now and the manufacturers make it so that many stuffs are expensive to repair

As much as its becoming the fashionable thing to do, that game, the darts etc It really is what they call "cut through." And it's massively hard to come back from that and get those people onside again. However, it's also playing into the Tories hands. Replace Johnson and its back to normal. They need to be singing about Tories in general not Johnson, the fixation on Johnson isn't what is really needed. I suspect getting them to change to Tories are Words Removed is probably a step too far right now though. Liverpool fans, as much as we don't like them much, did get it right the other night, their banner was about Tories not Johnson. More of that realisation needed

Anyway, the nostalgia evening continues with one of my absolute favourite post-punk single label compilations Wanna Buy A Bridge? - A Rough Trade compilation of singles which was designed to introduce the label to the USA but plenty of these found their way back to these shores pretty quickly, probably because its just full of classics. My copy is very scratchy, if I could find a better copy I'd buy it Not a duff track on it, even an early Adrian Sherwood mix (Man Next Door - The Slits) and a further On-U connection with Dennis Bovell producing the Pop Group classic We Are All Prostitutes (I think Sherwood may have produced other projects by every single member of the group, possibly) Even Spizz the Villa Fan is on there
