We're specifically talking about a particular statue, which will be on display in a museum a matter of a few hundred meters away from it's original position and no one is objecting
My post is quite clearly about that and nothing else so why your post actually exists, I'm unsure
Well for one, the Colston Statue, will still be on display, in a museum called M-Shed which is a stones throw away from where the statue was situated, no one is complaining
Any post that mentions "The politically correct" as an actual group of real -people isn't really worthy of listening to
Then you'd be failing to understand the different contexts of museum and statue in a public place celbrating someones life
That argument has been used many times, it was stupid the first time it was tried and hasn't improved with age
Nobody would have had a problem with the statue if it had been taken down and put in a museum
Probably one of the last bands I saw live Creep Show, which is John Grant with Wrangler. Wrngler are a bit of "supergroup" themselves asall the members are sort of well known elsewhere, Steven Mallinder from Cabaret Voltaire, Benge from... lots of groups and Phil Winter from Tunng.
Electronic Experimental non-pop pop songs I guess. I'd forgotten all about them with the Pandemic until I saw the album going cheap in the Rough Trade sale and if I'm honest at full price I probably wouldn't have bought it
One of the few great things in my childhood trips to my great Aunt's in Porthcawl was that we'd bring faggots home from the butchers and have them for tea in Birmingham on the Monday.
Yeah that usually meant they'd been unrefridgerated for about 8 hours with all the visiting and travelling that went on
Absolutely lovely they were, I can remember the taste of them even now, many years later
Early Moon Due album Mazes, first vinyl release since 2011 was this limited edition of 300 for Rough Trade earlier in the year (White Vinyl)
This is Ripley Johnson, Moon Duo is sort of his Garage Band which was once described as a side project of Wooden Shjips but I think we can safely say, they sit alongside each other these days, Ripley seems to release more Moon Duo records than Shjips records
A little bit of a cheapo novelty record
Lord Sitar - Lord Sitar
Otherwise known as Big Jim Sullivan a session musician of some standing in the 60s and 70s (Guitarist). He appears on over 750 charting singles including 54 Number Ones
Anyway, he was also one of the few UK session men to learn the Sitar, so he picked a bit of extra work through that. He was also a friend of George Harrison and they used to practice the instrument together.
So in 1968 he released this album and it was re-issued for RSD in 2015. Clearly didn't sell that well as it cost me less than a tenner in the Rough Trade sale six and a half years later (Green Vinyl - they all are unless its a 68 original)
I was once there waiting for a train to Blackburn on a Sunday for over an hour
It was so cold I went up to street level to get a warm in the arctic wind
Not here. In Formby we have an abundance of Barbers, it really is a stupid amount for the size of the area, all bar two of them are bog standard traditional barbers, one that is about to open this week is Turkish and one that opened recently I would describe as Hipster Rocket Polisher. There are at least 5 Traditional and possibly some I'm not aware of
I'm really not sure what you're saying here.
Seriously, it's not making sense
Are you suggesting that lots of MPS are having foreign language lessons but are shit at it or
Are you saying our Dan has stumbled on a new avenue of income on his own (nah!)
All I'm saing is, he's too f***ing thick to have thought of it himself, others must also be doing it
