  1. I suspect madge will put up with anything that will keep her favourite son safe from Yankee harm
  2. The Firm have never like Mogg, always considered him to be a charlatan
  3. Its because there is an actual shortage of vinyl pressing plants, slots in the plants are booked up almost a year in advance, it's becoming a huge problem.
  4. Just in case anyone wasn't sure, Sky News is not a parody site
  5. Why, is that the end of the second day?
  6. Job done, you should pick one up for less than £20 or there's always the Ladies version Pay no more than a quid
  7. You don't fancy a copy of their Australian debut.... Barry Gibb & The Bee Gee's ‎– The Bee Gee's Sing & Play 14 Barry Gibb Songs? Such an artistic title (The grocers apostrophes are almost missed in the maelstrom of ego) C'mon I know they were brought up in Aus but.... I was a Lover, Leader of Men is either absolutely awful or a cover of a rare Laibach love balad. My opinion of the Bee Gees, hair you want to shave and teeth you want to punch, sorry but I've never been able to take anyone with hair like that seriously, so there's zero chance I'd ever listen to any of their output objectively. I suspect their soft rock [period was better than the disco era but... mah, the hair is still getting in the way
  8. Another one from the Rough Trade sale Now reformed, legendary post-punk funksters The Pop Group's album Honey Moon On Mars, currently their latest album proper from 2016 Also features amongst others Denise Sherwood on backing vocals and the legendary Dub Producer Dennis Bovell produces 7 of the 10 tracks I now realise why Rough Trade were selling it so cheap (£7.50) a pair of jokers who appear to go by the names Mark Stewart and Gareth Sager appear to have written their names on the front of the album in marker pen, bastards
  9. Un duo de saucisses avec salade russe
  10. It is also a supermarket shop day here. I was sent a photo of a written list A miracle occured in that I was able to read everything, obtain everything with no need for substitutes and didn't miss anything out because of the random ordering of the list and it was a two shop list too I was especially pleased with the get your own tea. Microwave Curry it is then, she was being kind because she knows that there's absolutely no way I'd like a chicken salad in this weather. I have to do the shopping because she doesn't drive, when she comes its an absolute nightmare, takes years off me with the pissing about walking across the shop three times and looking at stuff that isn't required. She does most of the cooking because she likes her own cooking (someone has to)
  11. Its a highly annoying trend in music I bought a Pop Group CD a couple of months back because the vinyl isn't out until sometime this year and I wasn't waiting that long.
  12. What label will it be on is also interesting as Geoff Davies has retired
  13. Maybe Joe Dolce has a new single out instead?
  14. I wonder if we could crownfund that for billboards and just put the number for Conservative Central Office on it?
  15. Bus with wifi must have eventually turned up again
  16. It wasn't for the readers benefit, it was so the President could recognise himself
  17. Which protests? The BLM protest where the statue was dumped in the dock or the decades long protests about his name being associated with all kinds of landmarks and schools all over Bristol. There were bands that refused to play the Colston Hall for years. Punters that refused to go. This wasn't something that just happened at a protest, it was the culmination of many years of civic discussion that was getting absolutely nowhere (see above comment about the new plaque for the statue, that in itself was about a decades worth) Viewing the removal of the statue as just a one off doesn't have the right context, this was symbolic of the years of protesting about Colston that was met by no action. Even his closest living relative said the statue should come down.
  18. That argument had been rumbling on for years with various organisations objecting to the wording, it wasn't just a particular Mayor. It was a game of semantic ping-pong
  19. Imagine that, staff in a hospital getting sick, whatever next
  20. I can clearly see that this is bigger than 20/20
