  1. Couldn’t be bothered when I found out it was game not games. Who wants to watch one game over many episodes
  2. Finishing off with a little chanson. A Francoise Hardy compilation - The Vogue Years. 2 CDs with 50 songs
  3. So in answer to the original question, no the CD isn't dead nor is the MP3, they both outsell vinyl to this day
  4. The MP3 player is called a phone these days, there are genuinely people that still use MP3 players too. (Blandy for one)
  5. Of course they do, you pay for them in the price of the vinyl, they aren't really free And people do still buy downloads expecially in the digital DJ community, its the ony place you can get certain mixes for starters Not only that, there are people in this very topic saying that is what they do
  6. I might start this Squid Games that has everyone talking tonight
  7. The CDs continue, I went for Surrealistic Pillow and After Bathing at Baxters by Jefferson Airplane next and now I've moved on to... Charlotte Gainsbourg - 5:55 This album's lyrics were either written or co-written by Jarvis Cocker and the music was written by Air, where there's strings they were arranged by David Richard Cambell (Who? Beck's Dad, that's who!), also features Tony Allen and Neil Hannon. It's quite the coloboration.
  8. Its a far better name, it comes with added goffers
  9. It's like you didn't read any posts before you said that EDIT: Even if we're just talking downloads and not including CDs, the vast majority of vinyl sales come with downloads these days
  10. And here are the entries in the spoiler. Check if you think I have yours wrong let me know
  11. The spreadsheet is done We have 46 entries We have 152 unique candidates for death and the following are the candidates with multiple picks. If you are right, we're getting an extra holiday this year. (but you're only getting ten points each )
  12. Its the kids that are buying vinyl
  13. And now I've just stuck on Tommy by The Who
  14. All this talk of CDs made me go and get some out to listen to tonight First was Throwing Muses by Throwing Muses
  15. This isn't remotely true This isn't remotely true either
  16. Thats a perfectly reasonable position, there are many ways to reward the artist
  17. I consider myself a collector of music, I also like to reward the artist that created the music. Streaming really doesn't do that. For me streaming is for the car, wandering around in public and a discovery tool, thats it.
  18. Sod knows why, even in Labour's worst election performance ever (2019) Labour still had over 50% of the votes (Tory 40%). It was actually Dromey's second highest number of votes since he took the seat (Highest was 2017) I suspect the Tories targetted it under the false impression that all the UKIP votes would go to them (they didn't) SInce it was formed in 1974, it has always had a Labour MP
  19. I have a preference for vinyl but I still buy CDs, bought one this week as it happens Some music I cant justify paying vinyl prices for, some I can
  20. Seriously, grovelling for the points equivalent of shandy? No self respect
  21. I'm not working tonight, I feel a speadsheet coming on
  22. He was just a very naughty boy!
  23. By my reckoning 25 points. I think @Paddywhack @theunderstudy @villa4europe and @mottaloo had Poitier.
