  1. We are paying for the honour of delivering them customers
  2. Ten minutes is never enough for taxi drivers waiting for bookings
  3. Because apart from the golden run of albums from 71-77 he's not as good as people like to think? Because he never really had an original idea in his life, he just followed the trends?
  4. Yep, thats stopped now, £5 for 5 mins as above. You have to go through a barrier to get there now. I used to sit outside the station for ages waiting for a booking. The closest place you can realistically stop now is Avro Way off Runger Lane and even that is 20 mins max. There are obviously a few little sneaky spots but they are usually occupied by the regular Man Air private transfer knobs. Or of course you can risk parking in Wythenshawe They've even removed both of the Petrol Stations from the Airport because drivers were parking in the Petrol Stations, thats how much the car parks ARE their revenue, they did everything they could to prevent you stopping your car onsite and not pay
  5. WIki is wrong, Rob is correct. The two albums have very similar titles... but totally different track lists (...Presenting The Fabulous Ronettes Featuring Veronica & The Ronettes (Featuring Veronica))
  6. There's no such thing as a quick pick up at Manchester Airport. There is a drop off area in front of each terminal. The prices are... £5 - Under 5 mins £6 - Under 10 mins £25 over 10 mins (To be fair, there is a free drop off area miles away from the airport where you can get free bus every 20 mins that will take a further 20 mins to go around all the terminals - unsurprisingly, no one uses this service, which was the airports complete intention when starting it) To pick up its... £6 - up to 30 mins £12 - up to an hour £20 - between an hour and 2 hours £30 - over 2 hours in every increasing circles upwards Liverpool Airport is simpler, it's £4 for ten minutes and after that it's OUCH. Pick up or drop off There's a free pick up and drop off area at Liverpool too, it's a 3/4 mile uncovered walk and there's no shuttle, Taxis theoretically can use it though not practically as it has ANPR and you are only allowed to go in once a day for free and after that, the prices are DOUBLE OUCH Airports make their money from car parking, the facility itself is usually a loss leader
  7. Well, yes quite but that appears to be you avoiding saying that you were premature
  8. No it wouldn't, Taxis generally have to pay the same price to pickup as the car parking charge
  9. Harold Shipman was the last I remember
  10. Any documentary containing the words serial and killer is an instant pass from me. It really does baffle me why people are even interested I'll watch a procedural drama on the hunt for a serial killer (if its good) but a documentary? nope not interested.
  11. I forget which division it was, current Div 1 I think. Brentford and small heath were the "big" teams in the division for a few years and they just hated each other Sometime in the 90s (and it would have been last weekend, sometime in the 90s), a group of friends and I went to a Brentford game at Brentford and the Brentford fans were singing all the Villa anti-blues songs, all game. They weren't playing blues. It was chuffing marvelous, I felt right at home and joined in voiciferously. As soon as was outed as a Villa fan I was welcomed with open arms
  12. News Editors: There's an armed seige going on Journos: Great, I'm on my way, where am I going? NE: Coventry J: Nah, sod that, you aren't sending me to Coventry
  13. She's an expert at the swift shamless u-turn. She just downloads a software update and off she goes, talking shite in a different political direction. She's a disgrace
  14. No, I don't think there is. That's what the Culture War is about, attacking the institutions they don't want to fund and attacking the supporters of those institutions It really does boil down to the same thing.
  15. Or he's been keeping his nose as clean as he can but we have had... Musicians (notorious lefties in Tory Eyes) should retrain and get a different job... The NHS must do better, now its been given extra money to reduce the backlog (caused by many years of underfunding by...) ... It's the same agenda, he just says it better.
  16. I rather get the impression that the victim doesn't want a settlement. You can't settle out of court if the injured party won't settle
  17. He'd actually be far worse for the common man. Ignore the personas, Sunak is a far more hardline lean state Thatcherite than Johnson ever was.
  18. Austere, his politics are the opposite of what he's done as Chancellor, the rumours were that he voted against the Furlough Schemes etc in Cabinet even though it was his job to put them in place. His politics are not what people think they are.
  19. He's already been proven to have done that... nothing happened
  20. If a policeman were to ask a ordinary British Subject what they were doing drinking with a group of work colleagues in a gathering of more than 1 person in the midst of a national lockdown and they got the answer, "It's a work event", I suspect most of the 66 million people in the country know what the policeman would do next. By the way, he's just admitted it, Dick, there's your evidence and ignorance of the law is no excuse, even if it is your own law
