  1. You mean soap but 5 times the price
  2. This doesn't get you any cleaner, thats a myth created by soap commercials Also if your soap is creating lots of lather, it's pretty much nailed on to not actually be soap
  3. I was initially going for a bend over / prison gag but Kenneth was just too easy
  4. I'm not having to clean them at all any more
  5. There were a considerable number of people who worked there that may have had issues with alcohol
  6. That Cadbury actually had a workers social club is fairly outrageous in itself considering the Quaker roots of the company and the fact that the Cadbury family by virtue of the fact they owned all the land effectively banned the sale of alcohol for over 120 years
  7. They do refills of liquid soap now Soap dishes are scummy and a pain in the arse to keep clean
  8. The seasons are distinguished by the amount of daylight (and therefore temperature) not precipitation. More daylight equates to higher average temperatures The main monsoon season in India is during the summer for instance
  9. Bars of soap? Do you reside in some form of living museum? Can't remember the last time we bought an actual bar of soap
  10. One of my often used phrases around the house... "Where does *insert item* live this week"
  11. No-one's posted this yet either. Boyce and Hart
  12. The missus used to work for Royal Liver Assurance and they had a bar in the basement, open all day, She left sometime after 2000, it was still there and as far as I know it was there until the company was bought out and left the building (2011) EDIT: Further checking reveals it closed in 2004
  13. An early one this. It is also thought that this tune lead to the phase "Hell bent for leather" being widely used by people Sung by Frankie Laine I think. A certain band I used to work for did a cracking version and there are many covers inclusing The Jackson 5 and most famously The Blues Brothers
  14. Today's Sunday Morning easy listening is provided by the compilation. Wizzz! (Psychorama Français 66-71) A great series of compilations of French Psyche-Pop from the mid to late '60s. Currently there are four in the series, I have three
  15. Further news on this story... I believe the tweet may have been put back up (because he's probably been advised that deleting it looks even more stupid) Now here's the thing. Nusrat Ghani didn't name anyone or say who told her. So Mark Spencer's tweet was outing himself and as many people have pointed out, she can't have defamed him as she didn't say who told her. He was effectively saying... "She's talking about me but I never said that", which only leads to one question... how do you know she was talking about you? As much as the original story is shocking (not shocking), the fall out is hilarious Peston's right, this is a massive crisis the party is in and it is blowing up everywhere
  16. The only difference is, it hasn't held me back. In fact it's probably helped me because the people I work for appreciate it. They know they'll get my true feelings and not bullshit, which they seem to prefer.
  17. If it wasn’t for the completely wrong clothes for the era, from the eyes I’d say Bob Marley but it clearly isn’t. I definitely think Jamaican or Jamaican heritage, something about the hat and Adidas combo
  18. You could pretend it’s a new mirror for the hall
  19. They were once the same company, Triumph Engineering sold off its car making division to the Standard Motor Company in 1936 It also sold its bicycle manufacturing division to Raleigh in 1932 Triumph had a history of being rather poorly run, even before the second World War
  20. Oh yes, I call this the Church Road Problem This is but just one example Church Road, Litherland, L21 Church Road, Seaforth, Waterloo, L21 (you'll notice the ludicrous double suburb there) Church Road, Waterloo, L22 If you took the mid-point of the Seaforth one and drew a 1 mile radius circle, all three would be in that circle EDIT: There also used to be a Church Road, Bootle, L20 that was within that radius too but thankfully that got demolished. Also add into the equation that Liverpool isn't just one borough (all those are in Sefton)
