    Energy Bills

If it doesn't go negative after the threshold is reached then the higher the price the higher the VAT still holds true
  2. Not wholly connected but the Waitrose - Free Newspaper Deal is ending soon.

    Energy Bills

Higher price, higher VAT content of the bill Absolutely impossible to remove that VAT /s
  4. You're the second person to point out this and its absolutely illogical. Spotify really don't give a shit. They don't give a shit about Rogan's content (or didn't until you know, the current fuss), they don't give a shit about Rolf Harris or Gary Glitter or the Lost Prophets or anyone's history and content. There really is not hypocrisy here, it is entirely consistent
  5. Not really, I'd never heard the term JAQing off until it was posted here the other day, however that isn't really a dog whistle whereas Activist Lawyer, Offense Archeologist etc are.
  6. Another of those phrases that's up there with Activist Lawyer
  7. I don't get it, it's like they want to alienate half of Spain
  8. I mentioned this yesterday in the album topic. One track over an hour long. Composed for a Peter Savile career retrospective exhibition. An intrumental that is over an hour long. It's unmistakably New Order but it's also unlike anything they've ever done before or since. Great for getting up in the morning
  9. Not really in my sphere, I've never heard of him but he's no longer with us
  10. I remember these when they first started in Liverpool. Gideon Coe had a session of theirs on tonight which made me reach for this CD, I think we must have put them on at some point, as I remember a meeting with them in our office, which is probably when I was given this CD. Loop Guru - Duniya I always assumed they just gave up the ghost and fizzled out but it seems they were still releasing stuff for the next 12 years and have only recently released a couple of digital EPs of older material Downtempo and dubby with tablas, sitars, gamelan, bollywood vocals, cut up speeches and samples I seem to remember they were a pair of pretentious words removed but I did always like this album
  11. Just seen the never once ever biased Laura K on the BBC. Even now, she's trying to water down things for Johnson with her language. In the studio and on every other BBC news I've heard, they have quite literally stated that Johnson made a false claim about Starmer but not Laura K, Oh no, she just says Johnson "linked" Starmer to the failure to prosecute Saville, the language was nowhere near as clear as every other BBC news person. She also said that Johnson later said it wasn't true, which again is far from the truth, he stopped well short of that. She can't go fast enough
  12. I'm sure there's some form of logic hiding in here somewhere. Not sure I can see it though
  13. Without going too deep into the insanity of this... Are there ANY car manufacturers that just make cars for the British market? (I'm thinking not)
  14. No, it's not a rule, nor is there anything "wrong" with it. I just think, for me, it's a bit rude to ask questions of everyone else when you haven't said what you think yourself.
  15. Played that album yesterday, it still comes off the shelves very regularly
  16. I'd never heard of him but there was a track of his on the radio at some point this weekend that really got me interested, he's on my radar for an explore now
  17. There's a lot of this asking questions with no opinion offered going on. It's a bit shit to be perfectly honest
  18. A proper New Order album Because Elegia is great to wake up to with a cup of coffee Actually what I wanted to listen to was The Saville Show, the only New Order thing I wished I owned. It's a 45 min or so continuous ambient thing that the band (probably just Morris and Gilbert) put together for a Peter Saville retrospective exhibition Only ever released on CD (3000 copies) and Elegia is sort of the closest you can get to it. I have a copy of it on my old Mac, I may need to fire that up and find it
  19. It's approaching two years now since we spunked vast billions of £ on Test and Trace Is it too much to ask that we just have some general competence? Do you really think Delta Taxis is an actual person? Some dimwit obviously does. recieved by email... today Anyone know where we can source approx 10,000 Lateral FLow tests for the next 7 days so everyone can test who works under this umbrella. (I'm really not looking for them) Test and Trace's competence is measured at the atomic level You expect things to get better with time, not worse They provide you with a URL, if you copy and past it into a browser, the imbecile that wrote the email has put a full stop at the end of the URL. This is internet competence 101 they are failing at
