You aren't "seeing the positives", you are talking crap in the main
Positive thinking really isn't a solution to a virus
No one is disputing that we "have to live with it" whatever that means, we've all been "living with it" since it first occurred and we will be forever
You aren't being restricted in any way
Today we're talking about it not being a cold or flu (it really isn't) and that we should still be getting FREE testing and a need to self isollate when you have it. That's it
If anyone was wanting a Neil Young primer, this is the one that covers the early period (1967-77) - Buffalo Springfield, Neil Young, with Crazy Horse, CSNY and The Stills - Young Band all covered here
It wasn't old 17 hours ago, it was a ferry taking Airbus workers across the Elbe in Hamburg yesterday
The account that has posted it is joking (just like it was in the ferry queue video also posted upthread today)
Well yes quite but lets not open Pandora's Box
What's the difference between swimming in rough seas and rock climbing or paragliding or any number of other dangerous activities, none of them are crimes and no-one thinks they should be
My missus got sent home from work, I had to go and pick her up. Right at the time the wind was forecast to be highest. It's even subsided a bit right now
Yep, ours are too but are seemingly build of better stuff than next doors. To be honest I think its the way they were fixed on and not repairing the one that came off in the aurumn left them pretty vulnerable
Next door is starting to lose the caps at the side of the roof, I think I have most of them collected unbroken so far. They only had it done last summer. Ours was done the year before and is holding fast. I think they lost the first one in the winds of the Autumn and didn't repair it, now the wind will probably take all of them from the one side.
That also isn't the point
My daughter has it right now, she just has a sore throat but she can still infect someone else and they might die. And the deaths don't all fall into the old underlying conditions types either
Some apparently normal fit and healthy younger people can die from the virus
I just think testing and self-isolation is still required because it isn't just a cold, it isn't just the flu. For the vast majority as you say, its less than that but for others its deadly
According to the Met Office, we're at peak wind now for the next few hours, if this is it, its nothing that unusual for around here
The winds we had around here last autumn were actually much worse than this
All the forecast seems to have done is push the wind back a few hours and extend its length but if this is the peak, we'll cope
I've taken the day off work today and decided to start cataloging my CDs.
Discogs just refused to do any more because I was making too many requests. Sod of this will take days and days if it does that Grrrrrr
Its a little bit windy here now but nothing I'd class as even strong winds
We hear the wind in our house regularly due to its position facing the Irish Sea and although its a bit windy, thats all it is so far
Porthcawl Harbour always attracts the Storm Photography snappers, its how they make their money. Most of those will be people who know the risks and how to mitigate them but they are also slightly unhinged
What has it got to do with a Union? I doubt the NUJ has rules about journalists not going to dangerous places, its what they do, its part of the job description
I have very very few live albums for similar reasons that others have stated
I sort of had one of the recent Can live releases on the list I gave to the missus at xmas, then I heard a track and told her to scrub that one from the list
It was getting rave reviews, heard a track and yep, it's a live album
