  1. I usually think a decent cover has to offer something different, all Galaxy 500 did was slow it down a little and slightly change the phrasing of the chorus but it's enough I still like this almost as much as the Joy Division / New Order original. You can actually make out the lyrics better on this version too
  2. Each to their own and all that but you're so wrong, so so wrong You'll be on the heavy dub soon enough
  3. Having a bit of a 12" session. Playing the Dredger EP by The Fall. Jeez, the price of these things... median price is £25, it's a 4 track EP. Ok it's Limited edition numbered but still. Mine not only has the poster intact but it has two posters! (both the same)
  4. What utter rubbish, in the same line you accused the rest of us of getting our news from the Daily Mail
  5. I can't believe I'm posting this, call me a mental health professional now please
  6. As soon as someone writes "independent research", you just know don't you
  7. it's pitching and moving in the air way outside leg stump and comes back in with the spin to hit off stump. Very few people can do that
  8. I wouldn't read too much into it. The Chinese agenda will be as much to do with internal strife and not showing any form of political demonstration as it will be to do with supporting Russia
  9. Whatever it is you were watching was wrong, totally wrong Ukraine wants to join NATO, it was years and possibly decades away from being able to do this and even then, there was no guarantee they'd be allowed The UN has no power of veto over who joins NATO, nor does Russia
  10. If you think that through, there really aren't
  11. Another point here about the suffering of the Russian people, it can't really be said out loud but the sanctions have to hurt them as that is what will motivate a plebiscite and by now the people know why there are sanctions and they know the cause of that. It's not nice but it's what they need to do for themselvesd
  12. The 12 years of subsequent Tory rule make the 13 years of Labour seem positively frugal
  13. I've eaten a Soviet era breakfast in a Leningrad flat. It involved vodka instead of milk. Carlsberg is still the healthy option
  14. Caveat. That aren't a Russian false flag operation
  15. In this instance, our mate doesn't want to be pulled out of it
  16. I have no idea what HD eyebrows are. Please don't explain it to me either. I'm happy not knowing
  17. Chelsea should be the first top flight football club to be owned by the Government. The government should be the one's selling it and giving the money to Ukraine. Letting Abramovic sell it is not imposing the sanctions
  18. There's another angle to that. Putin was unlikely to pull a stunt if one of his favoured sons was in the room
  19. Well, it's a small part of it but there are other much bigger factors too
  20. Do you know Abramovic's history? He introduced Putin to Yeltsin, which started him on his path, he funds Putin's election campaigns. Abramovic is not a bystander in this, he is utterly culpable. He's known in the Kremlin as Mr A, he used to live in the Kremlin and it's said he's like a son to Putin
  21. I don't get the point of this, it isn't remotely true and even the gestures depicted do have a point. Never in my lifetime have I seen so many countries come together and act so swiftly in supplying arms and aid (and highly likely advice and intelligence behind the scenes) to a country as the Ukrainians have recieved
