Another one added to the On-U collection Prince Far I (AKA The Voice of Thunder) - Cry Tuff Dub Encounter III Strictly speaking not On-U but originally released on Daddy Kool in 1980, then re-released by Pressure Sounds when it was a subsiduary of On-U (it no longer is, they split) Adrian Sherwood doesn't get a production credit PFI and Dub Syndicate do but it's widely acknowledged that he was involved and I suppose technically he was also a member of Dub Syndicate so sort of does. Listening to it, it's pretty bloody obvious Recorded in Jamaica but mixed & dubbed in London. As well as the usual suspects it features Vivian Goldman, Ari-Up and a few non-Cunningham Flying Lizards

Originally released on the very collectable Ghost Box label but now rereleased on the bands own label with brand new artwork The Soundcarriers - Entropicalia Experimental psyche-folk I guess is what you'd call it. The final track is a 12 minute opus narrated by Elijah Wood

Not the bit about the planes the bit at the end of the second tweet "As Russian Troops continued their advance into Ukraine" That isn't what is happening, there's nothing to continue, there are no reserves and the army haven't advanced for days. It gives the impression that Russia are being successful when that couldn't be further from the truth

Russias entire standing ground army is 280,000. Between 150 - 200,000 have been thrown at Ukraine already. They could have 50,000 tanks in reserve, they still wouldn't have the manpower to drive them

Places like Bellingcat are verifying a lot of the claims, in fact they were the ones that verified the General one (see up thread for how it was discovered) If you only get the news from BBC / ITV etc you'd think Russian forces have the upper hand, it really isn't the case. They aren't reporting it very well at all

McDonalds, no matter what we think of them here, is massively symbolic of the opening up of Russia to the freedoms of the west When McDs opened their first branch in Moscow it made headlines all around the world, it was on the evening news in the UK. It really is up there with Levi jeans which were used as blackmarket currency during the Soviet years. Both of those brands pulling out of Russia is more than just an economic message. It's hugely symbolic, it's telling the Russian people, you are going back to the dark days, days an awful lot of them have never experienced

I also don't think the "No Foriners Ere" types are quite as big on the issue of Ukrainians fleeing the Russians as they have been on say Syrian refugees

It's probably fairly low down on the list of shitty things the government has done in the last month or so but it's worth at least an honourable mention
