  1. I was having a music conversation with a customer when Amen Brother came on the radio. I asked my customer if he recognised anything from the song? I exlained it to him and finished just before the Radio person told the whole world the same story. My customer was so suitably impressed by my knowledge he thought a tip was beneath me and I deserved as much verbal praise as possible.
  2. It’s one day that, Ukraine had over 3,000 Russian POWs a week ago

These dickheads soon saw the error of that price, diesel back down to 1:77.9 today
  4. Ex-Special Forces volunteering isn’t going to be anything officially controlled by NATO. It gives at the very least plausible deniability. I don’t see why “trainers” operating is relatively safe parts of Western Ukraine couldn’t give exactly the same training from across the border
  5. I think this is wrong. There's no way any NATO country currently has boots on the ground, should anyone of them be found by Russia WW3 will officially have started and NATO are trying to avoid that at any cost. Will they be getting tactical assistance abd intelligence? I would imagine yes but boots on the ground? not at all
  6. No way of verifying this I guess but amusing nonetheless
  7. So him sending off an English player helps France how?
  8. Hands up those that didn't know Stefan lived in Poland? I mean he's only posted about it three million times He doesn't state it because we all know, hell it's even in his Bio on every post, look he lives in a place called Bytom This is what happens when you don't engage in a community but just jump in and ask questions We can just add it to the list of people you've disagreed with even though they are fundamentally more experienced in the subject than you

Evening update. The Tesco has gone up this evening to £1:64.9 The other three have remained the same but 4 miles down the same road from the Tesco is a different Shell Eurogarge. It’s usually about 1 p more than the others and tonight it is… £1:32 per gallon more expensive than the Tesco. One pound thirty f***ing two a gallon
  10. It's not that difficult Tu Pac your bread surely?
  11. They have to wash their clothes to get rid of the dribble
  12. It appears that Major General Andrei Kolesnikov, Commander, 29th Combined Arms Army, Eastern Military District was killed by the Ukrainians today. Third Major General killed, fourth General if you include the Chechen General Magomed Tushayev
  13. Only got two sets of clothes and the away kit was in the wash
  14. No. Mainly Metal / prog / Classic Rock / Psyche / Indie There's another shop that does though if you've got a spare ten hours, best to go with a list. It's a massive collection, filed in corridors of shelves, alphabetical no genres at all but he has country Go to google maps and search for legacy records southport then look at the photos of inside the shop and you'll see what mean. From my brief encounters there when the missus has gone into M&S or something I've usually left bewildered because I have no idea what I want
  15. On my way back from Preston I called into another record shop in Southport, Quicksilver. I bought a few records there, cos you know, I could find them So I'm paying and the man whose shop it is said "The question is, which one will you play first", in a sort of way that sounded like he was talking to a 12 year old boy. I played along though and said it'll probably be the Durutti Column, to which he said "No I think you need to play Goat first", so I said it was unlikely as it's the one record there that I'm already really familiar with but it's filling the gap in the Goat collection. to which he replied "I really don't know much about them." I'd have been quite happy to tell him lots about them if he hadn't been... you know... a bit of a tit
  16. My money's on forgot to take the butt plug out before taping herself up
  17. I needed to be close to Preston this morning so took a trip to Action Records myself. Couldn't find a sodding thing. The main record section I'd be mainly interested in is labelled "Indie and other", what record was at the very front of the first block of A records... A f***ing dele, Adele, just no, hide it under the counter and put it in a brown paper bag for people brave enough to ask. Why have multiple copies of the same record in the racks? Like you said there are that many records jammed into each block its almost impossible to browse. There's a new releases section, some of the records in there are hardly released in the last couple of weeks The staff were helpful though, I asked if the new Loop album was out (it was listed as today) and Gordon? even rang the distributor to find out why it hadn't come in. 25th now apparently Then there's the random boxes of stuff below the shelves, two boxes of which were labelled "general indie - new and reissue" - I have no idea how this differs to the stuff above and I wasn't about to break my back bending over to rummage through the box And don't get me started on filing solo artists under their first name, Nick Cave is in N for example, I almost expected thee to be a T section that covered the other half of the shop it was that daft. And even though its alphabetical, its only alphabetical for the first letter. If it begins with A, its in there somewhere, possibly, maybe I left without buying anything as I was burtsing fior a piss by this time, I did spot some stuff I'd like but my need not to piss myself took over

So today's local price watch is that nothing has changed today. This is good news, it means that BP / M&S have seemingly stopped price matching the two hyperinflationary EG garages and Tesco have decided that they are at their current price level. It's still a 77p gallon difference but I'll live with that as long as Tesco stay where it is a microtad under £1:60 I had a bit of a drive further afield today and spotted one Texaco garage out Banks ways that had a 15p price differential between petrol and diesel (£1:62.9 & £1:77.9) which is just bonkers
  19. There's correlation between people who make comments on Reach Media websites and the abilty to read past the headlines
