  1. I was rather shocked to be able to buy this, even the Probe chaps were amazed they still had copies left (there at least one more there). Someone has already paid over the odds for it on Discogs and the cheapest one of three copies is selling at over £40 The one that has already sold on Discogs claimed it was a "Factory Sealed" copy, as you'll notice from the Obi Strip in the picture, Silva Screen don't shrink wrap their records John Barry's score for the film The Tamarind Seed (Film 1974) A RSD release, limited to 2000 copies worldwide
  2. They currently appear to be doing the oppositions work for them For the sake of clarity I don't think Labour will win outright, they'll just be the largest party. It then depends on how many extra seats they need and how well the Libdems do otherwise the break up of the Union will be almost inevitable
  3. I don't honestly think it matters who is sailing the ship for the next two years, the economy is tanking and it's not just Covid, Covid is currently doing them a favour, that will have gone as an excuse in 2 years. They won't realistically have a new leader until the autumn if Johnson goes today, that really only gives them one budget cycle to fix this mess and they can't. The B word has caused a lot of this and ideologically they can't fix it, certainly not in time for 2024
  4. There's absolutely nothing to suggest they will be right now
  5. Check the opinion polls out, despite what you are saying being true, the Tory Party are nosediving. You get to a stage in election cycles where people decide a change is needed, we'd probably have already reached that point in 2019 if... but well, let's not dwell on that now. I think we've definitely reached it now, there is still yet worse economic news to come and the Tories as they've shown really do not know how to help the population, the gimmicks suggested by the cabinet are laughable
  6. Ah the missus asked me to pick her up from the Lime St Station after work, she was going to be on a train that got in at 17:20, then realised that she'd have to get an earlier one as she had an off-peak return, so we arranged to kill two birds with one stone and meet in M&S to do some food shopping which we had to do anyway... excuse to go to town... does she realise what she's done...? Oh well, first of the purchases on is this... Ghost Power - Ghost Power. A speculative purchase based on the fact it's a Tim Gane (from that there Stereolab) project. An electronic collaboration with someone called Jeremy Novak of whom I'm unfamiliar. All intrumentals and very filmic. It's obviously steeped in 70's German electronic music but nothing like the Motorik driven Cavern of Anti-Matter. Even on first hearing I'm really liking this, lots of stereo separation with stereo sweeps from one speaker to the other and often the complete absence of any beat. Very trippy!
  7. At this juncture I'd be shocked if the Tories were the largest party after the next election
  8. Sounds more like a device / signal issue than a software issue
  9. Its all very nice and all that but it hardly adds anything new to the song. It's a straight up tribute act song, which is ok I suppose but I always look for people to reinterpret songs otherwise, what's the point?
  10. I'm just confused as to why you think it's a cover version?
  11. A weekend at Bernie's with Doug Ellis
  12. Russian Chess players you say... Chess.com Well if Putin is true to form, Russia might have some dead chess players soon
  13. So selling your vote is allowed but buying them isn't? Not much of a free market is it?
  14. It is and its still better than its competitors Though one of my favourite features is the daily mixes, they are making it harder for me to actually get the choice of all 6 mixes by putting Your Daily Drive (nice idea, shit podcasts doesnt work) and the complete and utter bollocks that is Daily Wellness (Go F*** yourself) Spotify do seem to take every good feature they ever came up with and degrade it ANd piss off with the podcasts
  15. About to break my post-Covid duck. Off out to see a mate from work’s band Seas of Neptune at Kitchen Street in Liverpool Starting small
  16. Turkish Psyche (apparently) came up on a Spotify playlist. The title amused me
  17. Me neither, Murdoch shit and paywalled but hey...
  18. I couldn't give a shit what its based on, any OS that gives different manufacturers the ability to lock down and change features so there are variances in the way each individual model functions is f***ing stupid Any OS that allows manufacturers to limit the number of OS upgrades you can recieve before the device is considered obsolete is also f***ing stupid
  19. I've always been an iPhone person, I work daily with Android phones, I hate them
  20. Well it's funny you should mention that because... Guardian
