  1. Seems like a lot of this about today Wordle 314 2/6*
  2. CD10 - Driving without due care and attention. It's a catch all offence and could be a whole heap of things such as but not limited to Vehicle used for the carriage of heavy goods or for the carriage of passengers for reward Tiredness or driving whilst unwell Driving contrary to medical advice (including written advice from the drug manufacturer not to drive when taking any medicine) Fiddling with the radio or infotainment Setting the sat nav Reading a map (or anything else) Eating or drinking at the wheel Adjusting your seating position Allowing yourself to be distracted by passengers in the car Driving aggressively Tailgating Overtaking on the left-hand side Lane-hogging Not giving way where appropriate Swerving across lanes Using the wrong lane at a roundabout
  3. I remember 1976 when the roads actually melted
  4. I actually have a colleague that did this in a packed call centre, with three of us shouting "Chris, NOOOOO!"
  5. That'll be you Puffin in the wind again
  6. Also depends if Ukraine actually push infantry in front of the tanks to wipe out the (inferior) Russian AT weapons on the ground
  7. Ukraine will want that land back, that solution doesn't work for Ukraine and clearly doesn't work for those countries supporting them. If Putin stopped attacking today and consolodated what he had, that wouldn't stop the war
  8. Sadly Putin doesn't have an off ramp because of all his false rhetoric. He really is going to have to be driven out
  9. Good to see RAF Luton back on active duty. Still reeling them in, as ever the replies are even better than the tweet
  10. Hahaha this is Putin-level stupid ITV Has he really thought this through?
  11. Another RSD release that I'd kind of ignored and glossed over. It was billed as Various Artists and it was original era Acid House dance tunes, now that sort of stuff can always be full of filler and shite filler It was only on reading the sticker in the shop that I realised Various Artists actually meant various names that The Future Sound of London released records as. Every Track is FSOL and includes a mix of Stakker by Humanoid. Definitely a nostalgia trip with the emphasis on the trip
  12. Yep, I think I told this story before. Short version, it the 90s I was on tour in the Soviet Union, Glasnost times. We were on a train going through the Polish / USSR border, when they changed the wheels on the coaches at the border (different gauges - work that out for stupid, don't change trains, change the wheels) the border guards come on and check your passports. We were with a couple of Polish lads who were in a band from Gydinia who'd latched onto us thinking we'd make a decent cover for their gold smuggling operation and boy did they hit paydirt. Border guard checked two passports out of ten, smiled and sheepishly left quickly, which we thought was odd. The Polish lads asked to see our passports because they were absolutely shocked at what happened. Pissed themselves laughing when they realised we had Kaliningrad on our visas. They said the only people allowed to go there were the military and the KGB generally and we clearly weren't in the Russian Military. We originally were meant to go there but that gig was cancelled before we even set off but not before we'd had the visas put in our passports Yep the border guards saw that and just backed off completely. Biggest spook town in the world and I doubt it's changed
  13. Definitely still one available in Probe for £29.99 (but they don't do online) I can ask them to keep it for me tomorrow and pick it up at the weekend. I was their last customer of the day so it'll still be there in the morning
  14. I was rather shocked to be able to buy this, even the Probe chaps were amazed they still had copies left (there at least one more there). Someone has already paid over the odds for it on Discogs and the cheapest one of three copies is selling at over £40 The one that has already sold on Discogs claimed it was a "Factory Sealed" copy, as you'll notice from the Obi Strip in the picture, Silva Screen don't shrink wrap their records John Barry's score for the film The Tamarind Seed (Film 1974) A RSD release, limited to 2000 copies worldwide
  15. They currently appear to be doing the oppositions work for them For the sake of clarity I don't think Labour will win outright, they'll just be the largest party. It then depends on how many extra seats they need and how well the Libdems do otherwise the break up of the Union will be almost inevitable
  16. I don't honestly think it matters who is sailing the ship for the next two years, the economy is tanking and it's not just Covid, Covid is currently doing them a favour, that will have gone as an excuse in 2 years. They won't realistically have a new leader until the autumn if Johnson goes today, that really only gives them one budget cycle to fix this mess and they can't. The B word has caused a lot of this and ideologically they can't fix it, certainly not in time for 2024
  17. There's absolutely nothing to suggest they will be right now
  18. Check the opinion polls out, despite what you are saying being true, the Tory Party are nosediving. You get to a stage in election cycles where people decide a change is needed, we'd probably have already reached that point in 2019 if... but well, let's not dwell on that now. I think we've definitely reached it now, there is still yet worse economic news to come and the Tories as they've shown really do not know how to help the population, the gimmicks suggested by the cabinet are laughable
