Or actually refused asylum. Why did they refuse it? Well you can probably put that down to a number of things. Co-operate with France - the optics for the whoppers that voted for them were wrong, didn’t work, now voting Reform. Having people actually drown in the channel acts as a deterrent (it doesn’t) and the whoppers actually like it. You can’t have a slogan of stop the boats if there aren’t any. The narrative is obviously completely different to this but the small boats thing growing is pretty much the fault of the Tory Party.

You know the Tories turned down the offer of having a processing centre in France? You don’t see it mentioned much in the press for some reason France24 The Tories refused. Labour will take up that offer. So when you see the boats on the telly, remember that it is down to the Tory Party refusing that offer

I think even with a list system there would have to be some kind of deadline where the list was finalised. The party would then have to go through whatever process was in place to remove the MP post election and insert the next person on the list.

When Labour win the election, this will be the most left wing government in the UK for 60 years I really don’t get why people think Labour has moved to the right. Moved to the right of Corbyn yes. Actually right of centre, not so much Nationalise the railways close the non-dom loopholes tax private education make the minimum wage the living wage supposedly increasing capital gains and inheritance tax (not in the manifesto but it has been hinted) The idea that Labour is now some right wing party is a bit fanciful really

I think I’m ambivalent to these Sharia things because if you want to believe all this sky fairy nonsense it’s partially on you Does the Catholic Church believe in divorce yet? That’s got no place in this society either I don’t see anyone complaining about it though. To get remarried in the Catholic Church, you have to get your first marriage annulled. In decisions made almost entirely by men again. So in order to get the marriage annulled all sorts of false accusations are let fly which causes all kinds of grief for those involved, false accusations that can really damage people What’s the difference?
