  1. You know you can get these things that plug into the back of the telly these days that stream pretty much anything
  2. Foolish man, he'd have lived years longer if it wasn't for the guilt he felt for being a part of that monstrosity

    Energy Bills

You can always donate your £400 to a foodbank if you so wish
  4. They can't. They would be prevented by the Montreaux Convention of 1936 that closes the Bosporus to Warships in times of conflict. The only ships warships allowed through are those that have a home fleet in the Black Sea., in this instance that is only Russian ships based in Sevastopol but as the entire Black Sea Fleet is in the Black Sea, effectively thats no ships in or out
  5. We get the national minimum holidays plus bank holidays on top (so its quite generous) but it's in the contract as X number of days including bank holidays (I fo. So if I work next Thursday, I just don't take one off my total holidays But an extra BH means I lose a days holiday that I can choose because when the contracts were written, they weren't written with extra bank holidays to celebrate the worlds most famous matriarch of a dysfunctional family still being alive in mind. The company would argue that we're already well over the National Minimum number of holidays so they shouldn't have to account for it (and they'd have a point) For me it's more the principal of not losing a holiday of my choice for Madge because I still have about 6 COVID holidays carried over into this year plus this years allowance and in the new year I'll be probably down to three day weeks again in order to use my holidays up
  6. Oh yes, I am allowed to work next Thursday Work gave me the option, jumped at the chance to be in work as did all lads in the two other departments on our floor F*** you Madge, that's a day you haven't stolen out of my annual leave!
  7. Stawberries in a fry-up. Just no, no, no. This is end of the road that starts with bean separation. If bloody hipsters hadn't started this ramekin nonsense nobody would ever have had such sick thoughts as strawberries on a fry up. And don’t get me started on those awful sausages, perfectly straight and evenly cooked all over. Just wrong,
  8. I think cutting myself off from humanity for the day beckons on Thursday. No TV, No Radio and just a book and some music to accompany it otherwise I may not be responsible for my actions
  9. Well only the people who look like they've had the top of their head taken off and sewn back on at a bit of a wrong angle
  10. Jeez you must really love the Queen
  11. Birmingham is £89, London over £100
  12. The wording of questions is always poor "Can the PM confirm...?" Single word answer. No. He could be saying no I can't confirm, not that the something did / didn't / etc happen. And they do it all the time "Did the PM attend..." is far far better. Ask the question you want an answer to directly you massive numpties
  13. I had a quick look and as soon as I saw the ticket prices it got a huge no freaking way from me
  14. If Cold War Steve doesn't cut out that photo of Johnson and use it, I will be very disappointed
  15. What Rubbish, you haven't had the full University experience until you have a BSc (Ordinary) that you achieved through the means of a computer error.
  16. Anyway, apparently THE Sue Gray Report has just been published but don't quote me on that
  17. It was the Good Law Project that nudged them into action in the first place on this issue by threat of judicial review.
  18. You have to consider that approximately 50% of people are of below average intelligence in the UK
  19. Firstly, there's a reason why you can't find that data, multiple reasons actually but primarily because no polling company asks that question and they don't ask the question because it's irrelevant. For one, it's blindly obvious that if they kept asking the question to just people who voted in the referendum that remain would be in the lead by now even if no-one changed their mind, just because of demographics and the age imbalance of the voters i.e. old people have have dropped off this mortal coil and they were hugely leave. It was only about 12 months after the vote that dead people vs newly of age voters would have changed the outcome of the vote if the proportions remained constant, so it wouldn't be too much longer that this would have happened among just the cohort that voted. It should also be obvious that the relevant question is of the population now not back then Secondly, that article is 11 months old and I can't find a single poll in the intervening period that says any different. The last poll I can find where the question was "If there was another referendum on Britain’s membership of the EU, how would you vote?" and remain was ahead, was actually around the time of that article, every poll since then (all by Deltapoll as it happens) have been remain ahead and their most recent poll in February of this year has Remain on 48% Leave as low as 40%. There is a trend seemingly developing in this data but I'd say its too early to say for definite if that is the case. The other significant factor in the polls is the amount of people saying don't know, this is also reducing. The last poll having widest gap between remain and leave with also the least number of don't knows.
  20. Daylight balanced bulbs aren't that expensive but it's still nonsense because the colour temperature of natural daylight varies widely (Sunny / cloudy, misty etc) and the the bulb will be constant. Short of turning your office space into a mini-TV Studio there is no solution to a non-problem
  21. ... and already the debate is about the standard of journalism and not what he actually said, which he's been able to do as a result of the poor journalism
  22. He's wrong because the colour temperature of the now two competing light sources is completely different
