    Energy Bills

French prices are slightly less than UK prices atm, not much but they are cheaper , maybe by 10p a litre
  2. It wasn't a case of Pfizer was the best, there were a whole number of companies that got vaccine research contracts. Pfizer and AZ were just the ones that won the race to approval with an acceptable efficacy. It wasn't just those two companies that got money, they just funded anyone who claimed to have a clue about what they were doing it seemed like
  3. funny you should mention that, Kherson woke up today to this poster put up all over the place "We'll find every bastard that tortured our people in the basements, launched rockets or directed artillery! You'll never find peace on our land. Death to occupiers!"
  4. Some of that thread now appears to be missing... (Conspiracy theory you say ) Here's next bit that is missing the rest is on thread reader
  5. I've just played that on Youtube. My immediate reactions are 1. Someone has sampled those first notes 2. I've heard this song by someone else (and not Seals and Croft) and I had no idea what it was called or it's origins
  6. It surprised me to, even though it's not exactly in my specialised subjects, I'd like to think I'd have at least have heard of them, rang absolutely no bells at all
  7. This was announced on 6Music News this morning... Guardian My reaction was who, what? Never heard of them or those songs
  8. Its an albatross around their neck. The Tories are genuinely still beating themselves up over it. The likes of JRM and Mad Nad were literally accusing Tory rebels of being remainers only the other day. Hell even one of the architects of Brexit, Daniel Hannan seems to be having an epiphany and thinks we should join EFTA The polls on Brexit also appear to be diverging (though they aren't done that often any more but the last one had a 48/40 split in favour of rejoining) On the other side, the only people that currently talk about Labour and Brexit, are the Tory Party. It's defining them and they will be sunk by it.
  9. If you were being defamatory on VT to something resembling arse gravy after a week on the piss it would be libel
  10. You mean like Kier Starmer? He can hardly be blamed for his school going independent whilst he was a pupil. Do you think when he was a defence barrister specialising in human rights he didn’t come into contact with average or below people? Like his parents, a nurse and a toolmaker… He even went to Leeds Uni as an undergraduate, not the usual Oxbridge Very strange criticism. He actually is a person with the type of background you wanted.
  11. I think this is just a bizarre opinion. He’s the leader of the opposition, with a huge deficit. What do yo expect him to do? His ratings are well above Johnson’s, the Labour Party is well ahead of the Tories in the polls and that gap appears to be growing. I’m not sure what you expect him to do. He was ahead of the curve most of the way through the pandemic, Labour were saying the govt should do X, the Tories said they shouldn’t, then did X two weeks later. He only went behind Johnson when the vaccine bounce happened and there really was nothing he could do about that. I’m curious, what do you expect him to do?
  12. It's only 'objectively pointless' from the view of an outsider looking in. Just because everyone in Wales can speak English, doesn't mean they should have to, only an outsider would think that.
  13. One side of my family were native Welsh speakers, quite frankly this is pure ignorance. It's not a language that ever died out. There have always been parts of Wales that were majority Welsh speaking and the only reason usage died out was because the English suppressed the language for years, made it illegal, beat people and imprisoned people for using it. Wales' own cultural genocide at the hands of the English. That tax money now gets used to help the language re-establish it's self is only correct.
  14. Perfectly possible if it was open all year round and not ten weeks
  15. My only problem with biscuits and gravy is that it is neither biscuits nor gravy
  16. it's already £55 to visit all three venues at Buckingham Palace Yep, they fleece you to see the stuff they fleeced out of the people
  17. If we held the beheading at Wembley and sold tickets, how much revenue would that bring in? Could we do it like that Abba Show and maybe re-run it once a week? Could we get away with charging Americans double? It would need to be Carbon Beutral obviously
  18. It isn't Desmond doesn't own it any more. It was set up as a Pro-Labour paper. It's more of a pisstaking paper these days with no allegiance at all
  19. I missed this over the weekend. Thats a huge swing, can't see it getting any better after tonight
  20. Or damnum fatale if you were Scottish
