  1. When did it become a competition as to which profession is the worst off?
  2. If ever a country was geared up to be able to put up with 2 working days of train strikes a week, it's us, now in this historical moment No more can't get in today. Just a case of working from home for an awful lot of people This government have spend months telling us to get back to work, in an office which clearly wasn't happening on the scale they hoped, now there's going to be a couple of days of strikes, it's going to cost us £11bn a day, will it shite. The vast majority of office workers who can't get in will have the ability to work from home
  3. Go tell a CPS Barrister he's over paid. Most of them are skint Where on earth did the £150k a yea figure come from, those on that amount are in a different game. These are barristers that are paid out of the already decimated legal aid budget (Ideological cuts too)
  4. It means they are now stopping every train and refusing transit to anything sanctioned (people or goods). I don't think this was happening previously They've Brexited Kalingrad and as Kalingrad is Russian Spook Central it will cause them some major inconvenience

    80s Party!

Dancing in the City Never heard of them personally though I did remember Dancing in the City
  6. I'm seeing that it might have been SU-25 attack, not sure anyone knows right now But there's also an attack on Snake Island again as that is in flames so that could be the SU-25 attack Also worth noting that the three oil rigs are actually Ukrainian but have been in Russian hands since the annexation of Crimea
  7. Fantastic, the train strikes are going ahead *rubs hands*
  8. For most people improving the deal with the EU would be all about Free Movement and that will become all the more apparent as time goes on and people still face big passport queues etc
  9. And rightly so I suspect Starmer is going to get "crucified" by the same people Personally for me, this is a deal breaker and will prevent me from voting Labour (not that it matters in my seat right now) I'm much more likely to vote LibDem now as I want 1) Electoral Reform and 2) Free Movement and I really don't like that I have to vote LibDem It's like Labour actually learned nothing from their position in the whole Brexit fiasco. I also think the membership will be against this too, apart from the left wing. I suspect Conference might actually force his hand on this, if they don't then they deserve to lose
  10. C'mon... Broken Arrow, has been a Neil Young staple since... well since Buffalo Springfield And for the sake of information Buffalo Springfield were a sort of reverse supergroup, in that they went on to bigger things after the band split. Young went Solo and CSNY. Stills went CSNY / CSN and the rump left after the egos departed went on to form Poco
  11. See this is where being nice gets you You: "er Ok thanks" Me: "No ta, hate Brewdog" This is the lesson I learned from Chocolate Oranges and my parents many years ago
  12. The story being pulled is a bigger story than the story tbh
  13. I very much doubt there's an injunction, the story about the story disappearing which include pretty much all the details are all over the media
  14. I wasn't disagreeing with the quote being correct just pointing out the article itself was on a website of absolute whoppers

    80s Party!

People often think that the bass line is sampled from Cavern by Liquid Liquid. it isn't. It's totally stolen from that song but was played by Doug Wimbish. Wimbish / Skip McDonald / Keith le Blanc, the Sugarhill Records house band who then left and became the On-U Sound house band aka the Maffia / Tackhead et al. Just thought you'd like some Music Snob trivia
  16. The current problem with artillery Ukraine.vs Russia is not that Russia outdistance Ukraine, distance wise they are on a par. Ukraine currently are severely outgunned in terms of numbers. The distance issue is slowly being resolved as longer range artillery are starting to hit the front lines. What Ukraine needs is more long distance artillery. Also there’s a bit of confusion about “the west” (that'll be the yanks) not supplying the longest range shells, they made the point about distance to not enrage Putin but the truth of the matter is that the Americans don’t really have much of it. They had actually phased production of the longer stuff years ago and Ukraine doesn't really need it anyway. They already have a 10 km advantage now ( or was it miles I forget) they just haven’t got enough of it in action yet and they need more of it too

Somebody mention Robert Palmer and Riptide?
  18. It is a steak and kidney pudding made with suet pastry It's a Lancashire thing, that behaviour belongs in St Helens and Wigan and stays there
  19. Dodgy Website, that article contains such classics as this... Notice the spelling of Kyiv too It's a bit, you know, Trotskyite. It's the Trotskyite Party of America, still going on about the Fourth International.
  20. 6000 a month I saw quoted yesterday thats a huge difference to the figure you are claiming. In fact most of the claims you've made / figures you've quoted since joining this topic have been way off
