  1. Another recent one featuring a favourite artist of mine - The Liminanas Score to the Balad of Linda L by Lionel Liminana and David Menke. These two have done two scores together and Lionel has done a few others besides but this one is the one where he steps outside the Liminanas box the most
  2. Not seen them but their albums are either great or very dull (the last one proper - the Wilderness anyway) They've done some soundtrack work too but I'm not really familiar with it

Gas isn't getting more scarce though. Russia has plenty of it, it's being forced to sell it cheaply to non-European countries, India et al will continue to buy from Russia as long as the price is cheap enough. They therefore will not require the more expensive gas they were buying from elsewhere, that gas will then be bought by those missing Russian gas but the market then takes a hell of a long time to adjust to that
  4. They have a real problem with anyone who isn't an on message Tory having an opinion.
  5. They are loud but whatever you do, if you think that was loud, don't go and see Swans. I'd say Godspeed You! Black Emperor are equally as loud as Mogwai.too
  6. Yeah, that was the story as I thought it was but there was no mention of it on the Invada website, so I thought I may have been mistaken
  7. Another favourite is, the once thought to be lost forever, score to Les Chemins du Katmandou by Serge Gainsbourg and his sometime collaborator Jean-Claude Vannier A '60s psychedelic classic, so good that they managed to track down the mater tapes that were long thought to have been destroyed in a studio fire
  8. A soundtrack to an imaginary film? Drokk by Ben Salisbury (Does lots of work on BBC David Attenborough shows amongst many others) and Geoff Barrow (Portishead and Beak>) An imaginary soundtrack to a Judge Dredd film The pair are now regular collaborators and have done a few scores proper
  9. The best? no, I don't know how you'd judge that. But a favourite of mine, definitely, it just suited the series so perfectly. It also helps that it's by a favourite artist of mine. Mogwai do a lot of soundtrack work but this one was just spot on for the visuals.

Labour didn’t sell off all the gold in the last recession. That is just not even close to accurate, amazing how it’s a line you often hear from Tory MPs talking shite and repeated in the media Brown sold off the gold at he bottom of the gold market. If we were in recession, it wouldn’t have been the bottom of the gold market. Half the Gold in reserves was sold between 1999 and 2002. The recession was some 6 years later Please check the facts… pretty please

Me, you, the bloke next door. We'll be paying it off as an additional charge on our bills for the next 20 years Shoukd prove popular with the masses… er not
  12. There's a film directed by the comedian Stuart Lee, who is a big fan of the band called King Rocker. That film is partly responsible for the return of the King Kong Statue to Birmingham To be honest, I think they are more revered nationally than in Brum but yes, The Fall and Pere Ubu are decent comparisons, especially The Fall
  13. Kharkiv the city has never been in Russian hands, they got close to taking it but Ukraine have slowly pushed them away but not it appears they've pushed the Russians back much further. As for Kherson, hard to say how long it will take
  14. Yes, she's quite good at raisin the issues of her constituents
  15. As a tactic it's a genius move They telegraphed the Kherson assault for weeks. Russia reinforced the Kherson front to the tune of an extra 10-15,000 troops, which they obviously pulled from elsewhere. Then Ukraine take out all the bridges across the Dnipro river, trapping all those troops in that area with now, extremely hard logistics and start the telegraphed assault. Meanwhile at the absolute opposite end of the front all the way over in Kharkiv - the weakened front gets hit hard too. So you have large numbers of Russians trapped in Kherson and if they want to retreat, they'll have to do it on foot and leave masses of equipment and also losing ground at the other end of the front where Russia moved all it's troops from Operation Double Penetration
  16. In all seriousness. I think Arsenal's results make them look better than they are. Are they better than last season? Yes Are they as good as the pundits are making them out to be? No definitely not. They had a nice run of fixtures to start with and if people are Wildcarding they'll be taking the run of bad fixtures to come in a few weeks into account
  17. Well I read that with an e the first time
  18. Why? If anything Truss will be worse, she'll do as many deliberate ones as Johnson and lots of accidental ones too
  19. That doesn't stop her being in the cabinet. The rest I agree with
  20. Because he's got to get to Scotland to resign before Truss goes to be given the job
  21. She was rumoured to be staying put, perhaps she's off to the Priory
