  1. I love them, I love their cognititive dissonance after our discussions
  2. That actually appears to be what is already happening
  3. A rule change and succesful VONC will not help one bit here. The timeframe is way too long to be of any use. Unless a large majority of the party can unite behind one single candidate and even then you suspect that someone like Kwarteng would stand as a candidate and refuse to step down in despite commanding only minimal support just to force it out to the membership to buy time. I can't see how disgruntled Tories can affect this unless there are enough of them that decide to band togather to form a new Party and remove Truss' majority. Maybe there is another way but I can't think of it
  4. It seems like the next phase is on towards Svatove etc along the P66 Highway acording to the Russian mapper A big push across the whole front it seems to be
  5. Yeah I was fearful of that but my sub was Nico Williams who got a point, so them coming on actually got me 2 points instead of the one it would have been
  6. We're getting to that stage of the season where I think you need a bit of flexibility especially in midfield. I'm not convinced that many premiums are actually worth it this season. Son / Salah / Sterling / TAA etc are not worth their pricepoint, plenty of cheaper options just as good right now I'm rebuilding around a flexible 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 as defence with a few exceptions is not where the points are.
  7. I just looked on my FPL Gameweek dashboard and 40% of my work league have already used their Triple Captain chip. There hasn't even been a week yet where one team has two fixtures yet
  8. Shhhhh! (Edouard was my pick) Which gets me toTrossard in Midfield
  9. I'm going to have to start planning the GW12 fixture blank this week. I have Cancello, KDB, Haarland and Martinelli, so one of them needs to go. Plus I have a Mitrovic & Bailey issue and much depends on that I will be swapping out KDB next week and he will be replaced by Foden after the blank week. This to me is a no brainer and I'd do it this week if it wasn't for the Mitro / Bailey issue I have my eye on a cheap Mitro replacement and a just sub 7mil midfielder to replace Bailey. This is currently going to take all my spare cash but will give me a still semi decent team for GW12 (there is no way I can play an effective midfield in 12 from Bailey / Martinelli / KDB / Rashford / Zaha). Selling Martinelli is out of the question as I've had him from the start and he's increased so much (same for Haarland too) even Cancello has a slight financial hit. So those three are just going to be benched in 12. Which gives me a semi decent team for the blank week and a lot of cash to further rebuild after GW13 And holy F*** I now have a Reece James injury to deal with too - argggghhhhh!
  10. Yep, what Dave said, my Missus' renewal took exactly one week
  11. A prime example of the type of cover I'm not a fan of. Beck (an artist I like) covering the Neil Young (another artist I like) song Old Man This is just a straight cover, Beck trying to be like Neil young, it adds absolutely nothing to the original. It is spectacularly dull
  12. What is currently happening is tantamount to a bloodless coup by economic illiterates No-one voted for this lunacy The only good that will come of this is the death of the Tory Party and the sooner that those elements within the party realise this, leave the Party, forming another, leaving Truss without a majority and help form a Unity Govt with all other parties to stabilise this mess the better. I think it's probably the only way to get rid of Truss / Kwarteng in time to save the country. I also think it's unlikely to happen.
  13. Kerch Bridge explosion conspiracy theory. Euromaidan Press (Story originally in the Daily Mirror)
  14. Shame about the obvious lemon The original 3 CD set that this was culled from is a better comp though
  15. In relation to the Belarus question previously posed upthread... ukrinform So what that is saying is that Luka is pulling T-72s out of storage to give to Russia. The Belarus T-72s in storage will not be anything like modern and updated. This is old stuff and Belarus' new stuff isn't that new either. If Belarus were going to attack Ukraine, they wouldn't be taking ancient T-72s out of storage to give to Russia, they aren't even being given to the mobilized Russian troops in Belarus. It's a sign that Russia really is running out of tanks
  16. Even Ukrainian bees are working for freedom The Russians booby trapped a beehive when they were occupying part of the Kyiv region. Just another war crime to add to the list of Russian state sponsored terrorism events Except the bees saved the beekeeper. In the six months between the booby trap and its discovery, the bees had filled the detonators with honey and the device failed to go off
  17. One of my colleagues put on a xmas music channel in the office. He will be gaffer taped to his chair when he comes out of his meeting
  18. Not really my thing, I presumed they were but I've never read one.
  19. It is a most excellent book. A modern classic that launched Iain Banks' career. I can't vouch for his Science FIction (Written as Iain M Banks) but most of his straight fiction is brilliant. There are a couple that are mediocre but never bad. The Wasp Factory though is the stand-out one.
  20. Correct. You. @mottaloo@Paddywhack & @Jonesy7211 all had Angela Lansbury. 25 points each @Shomin Gekiis out there in the lead though, he's got three of his up too but all of them 100 pointers (Jean-luc Godard, Jean Louis Trintignant & Monica Vitti) Your three have only given you 100 points in total, which puts you in second place with quite a few others but they all only have one of theirs up
