  1. @Mandy Lifeboatsmight have an idea about what stat was compiled at the polling stations
  2. No clue on that tbh and its a fair point
  3. That's the tip of the iceberg though. This is the amount of people that turned up to vote and were turned away, there's no way of knowing how many just didn't vote because they knew they had no ID
  4. Licencing requirement from St Helens Council You inbred lazy morons I know the place is backwards and still in the last century but half the requirements in inches the other half in metric, you just changed as few words as possible... except that isn't what happened because its the metric that remains from the previous version and the inches have been added as the new requirement to doubly piss me off
  5. Yeah, I've not posted anything on it because I think absolutely every candidate will be proved to exist. I'll laugh like a hyena if it proves to be true but I can’t see that line of attack going anywhere. I think it was the only way Reform were getting close to a full slate and they chucked in candidates who were prepared to stand but not campaign in unwinnable seats. Person X has no social media presence whatsoever, so what, I know plenty of people who don't. It’s the bubble talking to itself, thinking they are normal and knowledgeable. Sure, investigate it but shut up about it until you’ve formed a proper conclusion. Until that conclusion is reached all that’s happening is publicity for Reform. Edit: Tice claiming that the “AI” candidate was in hospital near death last week with pneumonia so couldn’t attend his count then he turns up yesterday dancing around his flat just shows they were taking the piss.
  6. These people…. It’s not like this wasn’t fully explained during the betting scandal Conspiracy nuts, the lot of 'em.
  7. Someone missed the voting for the new Chairman of the 1922 ctte (So did Edward Leigh and Jeremy Hunt fwiw)
  8. Whomever is sworn in first as an MP takes the title as listed in Hansard
  9. FTFY as it isn’t the first time he’s reduced the work force
  10. I know exactly what it means, I’m just joking
  11. Is that Thom Lancaster’s mate?
  12. Well it combines the lyrics of two of the very early reggae singles. Lee Perry used to record for the Joe Gibbs stable and him and Gibbs had a big falling out over… shock … money. Perry left and founded the Upsetter label. His first “solo” single away from Gibbs was People Funny Boy which was generally regarded as the first dis record in reggae and it was also regarded as taking a huge swipe at Gibbs, it was a huge Jamaican hit which supposedly pissed Gibbs off even more, so Gibbs released the answer record in response called People Grudgeful. So the Falls cover takes in the lyrics of both songs tell the story. If you look at the album credits, MES only credited Perry so it is assumed he was taking Perry’s side. So not only does it tell of the way the big sound system owners used to exploit people, it also references the very early reggae records and indeed tells the story of the birth of the legendary Upsetter label
  13. Do you know the story it’s telling?
  14. So it’s a fake wood box full of bootlegs
  15. Best Fall cover version… have a 2 for the price of 1
  16. It’s a wooden box full of bootlegs
  17. The Fall are very marmite but there are a lot of marmite fans here I’m just shocked MES didn’t sack someone mid song
  18. Also The Damned were pretty steeped in early garage / psyche. Check out their alter-ego band Naz Nomad and the Nightmares. Could have gone in the covers topic but relevant here right now. there’s only one album, pretty much all covers. “Give Daddy the Knife Cindy”
  19. I like to think of it as the first Prog-punk track. I think it predates actual Goths but is sort of contemporaneous with the Siouxsie Juju album, early Bauhaus and the Cure Pornography albums which sowed the seed.Anyway, Goth was a fashion statement more than anything An absolute classic. I've seen them do it live too which didn’t used to happen often because of its length Odd album. Sides 1 & 2 standard studio album (and not bad as it goes), that is one side of the second record and the other side is live hits in front of a fan club audience. I always had the impression that Curtain Call was them pissing about in the studio and realised it was way too good to waste so they turned the album into a double to accommodate it, then though, oh bollocks, we need another side and chucked in the live side. The live side is nothing special but Curtain Call is magnificent. The second record wasn’t available on vinyl for a good while until a re-issue about a decade ago
