Thinking ahead, when was the last time a sitting PM lost their seat at a General Election?
Has it ever happened?
It's certainly something these numbskulls should be considering before they elect a new loser
Current Polling on Electoral Calculus has Sunak keeping his seat (and Truss) but there are an awful lot of casualties.
Agreed, however, the other side of the coin is that they aren't in infinite supply either. They supposedly took delivery of 2,400 of them. They will be a good way through that number now
Problem is, there seems to be no accurate figure on how many of these Iran actually has.
Iran's drones aren't that good, you hear about the ones that get through. The vast majority of them are shot down. For example, last night between midnight and 2am, in the Mykolaiv region, Ukraine shot down 14 Shaheed 136
Russia is having to fly them in squadrons in the hope that one or two get through now because sending single ones on a mission was proving to be very ineffective.
I think so too, I think she topped the poll because the general public don't really know her that well and she'd had a pop at Truss that day. Nothing more nothing less
According to a poll on Peston last night she would perform better than any other candidate they asked about. She'd only lose to Labour by 16%
Just to demonstrate how scatty this is, when they asked the same question to Tory members, she performed the worst. The top two by way of reference were Johnson (clear winner) and Sunak (clear second). Trouble is with either of those in charge the general public had them down to both lose by 30%+
In other words, they are f***ed
I very much doubt there's a democracy in the world where an elected head of state has the power to dissolve an elected government and force an election.
Nor should there ever be.
They are worried that their weapons my find their way into Russian hands and then in turn back to their sworn enemy, Iran.
As Shedcow says, they will be sending air defence weapons as this is considered less risky
So instead of just letting the confusion surrounding the vote disipate and do nothing, they've doubled down. It's almost as if every time they have a choice to make, they make the absolute worst choice for their party
It's almost impossible to make that many bad calls
Yep, Starmer did very well but it has been rather overshadowed by events later, though Truss did perform a double U-turn on the triple lock for pensions
No, it means Labour might get the majority but as it is an opposition day motion, it means nothing.
Now you'll see how monumentally stupid the three line whip on making it a confidence motion was
Losing this vote will change absolutely nothing policy wise and it never would have
