  1. Wouldn’t even appear in a “best of” double album compiled by me
  2. The Dream Syndicate just announced 6 UK dates in March including Liverpool and Manchester Dates. It's now on my list
  3. One of those absolutely pointless point scoring exercises on Twitter. They are both correct. Yes it's good for Labour (but it's reported by a Times journalist who is posting it as a warning against voting for Johnson) andand Yes Johnson shouldn't be anywhere near power but the Tories are being Tories. Both are valid opinions and are mutually exclusive
  4. Nah, Van the Man actually has a golden period. Blokes a complete arse but he does have a very creditable "best of" in his history, none of which is in at least the last 30 years or longer.
  5. You could include the whole album in this topic. Signing Off was a good album. Turned to absolute shite from the second album onwards. I always have to exclude lovely man and Villa fan Brian Travers (RIP) from my UB40 ire though.
  6. Some MPs have already said they'll voluntarily become independent MPs and others that they'll trigger by-elections if it's Johnson In other news the LibDems have said that the Tories should block Johnson standing. Er no you dickheads, he'll gain your party seats. I'm also beginning to think that if they do elect Johnson and enough similar-minded Anti-Johnson Tories can get together and form a new Party so removing his majority, then they might just do that. I'm thinking of the Old School One Nation lot but haven't really looked at the numbers to see if it's even possible
  7. I'm awaiting at least 2 possibly 3 from Castles in Space. if they don't arrive by tomorrow, an email is going to be sent Warrington Runcorn New Town Development Plan and British Stereo Collective I'm normally the same with the streaming thing, I like to have that excitement of opening the package, putting the record on and listening to it for the first time but I've been waiting that long I've caved in and listened to both of them.
  8. That depends on whether you are considering the country or the death of the Tory Party You'd think at this particular juncture that politicians would be able to put aside their short-term political ambitions and think of the health of the nation but apparently not. The pigs are in the slaughter house and jostling for positions to be first in the queue for a bolt to the head. Here's some predictions from me, if they re-elect Johnson. He won't be PM by the next election if parliament goes full term He won't even win his own seat at the next election The Tories will have the lowest share of the vote at a GE since the end of WW1 (this isn't a particularly low bar - it needs to be lower than the 30.7% they achieved in 1997)
  9. You are wrong. He is the worst possible candidate. He's hated now, so is Sunak. The Tories are that tone deaf to public opinion they don't seem to realise this Of the three "frontrunners" only the empty vessel of transphobia that is Penelope Mordor offers a semi-chance of a clean break with the electorate. Sunak and Johnson's cards are already marked Tories - Making the Worst Possible Choices for Britain. (It's the meaning behind any slogan they come up with)
  10. I agree, It'll be like kicking a dead pig but I'm not sure of the point you are making Re-electing Johnson will just be the cherry on the icing of the bakewell tart of Tory destruction
  11. Braverman's real forenames are Sue Ellen. Suella is her own personal affectation
  12. Its what I do to. I have the CC paid out of a specific space in my current account. Every time I use it, I bung the money into that space straightaway. Then it just gets paid out automatically every month. Approaching payment day, I just check the correct money is in there just in case its out by a penny or two (it never is)
  13. Well its looking like a Boris vs Sunak deathmatch which will do absolutely nothing to help the Tory Party. Infact if you could pick two ideal candidates to increase the polarisation and rancour internally then they look like they are about to do just that. Then throw into the mix that they are actually the two candidates the rest of the country want least and things couldn't get any better (in terms of the the death of the Tory Party not the country)
  14. He keeps them in work. Always plenty to report with Johnson in the picture
  15. It was the BBC, in such matters it should be considered to be nothing but propaganda
  16. Johnson is not popular. It's highly likely he will lose his seat at the next election His majority is only 7k and that was in Labour's worst election in a lifetime
  17. Boris would definitely be my choice But I want the total destruction of the Tory Party
  18. Electoral Calculus gives Boris Johnson a 3% chance of retaining Uxbridge and South RUislip based on the current Poll of Polls Data And before anyone suggests that he can just change seats, the only way to do that would be at the next election. And before someone says Mad Nad's Med-Bedfordshire seat, she only has a 32% chance of retaining it compared to 68% for Labour
  19. Bankrupts aren't allowed to stand for parliament, so this is a double positive
  20. RIght before you do anything else, you must binge watch it in its entirety
  21. No sorry, my fault I meant losing their seat at the election
