It is the third safest seat in the country As much as there is a 5 person long list, it'll boil down to a straight left right fight between Byrne and Anthony Lavelle a 26 year old local councillor in the constituency You'd imagine that as the fight has been triggered that the challenger will win Not really a fan of either of them tbh

The short version There used to be an airfield in Chornobaivka just outside Kherson At the start of the war the Russians parked some aircraft there, Ukraine blew them all up. A couple of weeks later the Russians parked some helicopters there, Ukraine blew them all up. They stopped parking aircraft there BUT they kept parking ordnance there and stockpiled ammo there and Ukraine just kept blowing it up. They turned it into a Command Post (more than once) guess what... It became a meme, that Ukrainian Artilery men could just total the airfield at Chornobaivka in their sleep. The Russians never seemed to learn their lesson and in the end it was attacked a total of 39 times, same place, same result. It was like a sacrifice to the Gods. At one stage it was happening almost daily. Most of this was pre-HIMARS which kinda ruined the fun because then the Russians knew it was way too close to the front But anyway, today satellite imagery shows that the Russians have completely left the site (its a suburb 10km North East of Kherson)

Now being reported in Ukrainian and Russian press (various outlets), though nothing confirmed the following is being said Two maybe three ships attacked, all capable of firing Kaliber cruise missiles (so not small ships) Russians seem to be reporting at least two sunk Reports also claim one of the ships is the Admiral Makarov (A frigate) which became the de facto flagship of the Black Sea FLeet after the sinking of the Moskva. Russias Black Sea Fleet isn't doing so well There's also another onboard video out there of a USV being attacked by a patrol boat AND a helicopter (they failed miserably) which does give an indication of how fast these are, it appoached a small fishing boat and just almost flies past it, so the speculation that they are based on a Jet Ski engine seems highly accurate
