  1. There's another argument that runs parallel to this Twitter is a platform that earns money from advertisers. It's content is provided by users, now it wants to charge the content creators Compare that with say YouTube, which is a different platform that earns money from advertisers. It's content too is provided by users. It pays the content creators Musk keeps replying to people $8 and is completely missing the point. Absolutely most of them can afford $8, that doesn't mean they'll pay it to create content for him
  2. I'm not sure anyone has said otherwise Twitter and Musk can do as it likes within the law Most of us will just laugh when it goes under because all the advertisers, as private companies can do what they want to as well
  3. We are getting very close to this going off topic. Can we please keep to the subject of the topic (title changed for clarity). I get that the "super wokeness" discussion is borderline relevant in this discussion but let's not take it beyond that to discussing the whole ~woke~ thing in general and what people do or do not think they can say in public (note not Twitter). If its about the Musk Twitter Buyount, all good, if it's not, put your post in the relevant topic, if there isn't one, start a new one. Ta and carry on
  4. I thought I had it bad to log into the dashboard and find I''m on -2 Captained Kane this week, I fully expect him to get sent off and suffer a broken leg in the incident
  5. 1. He's replying to your post 2. It's in a topic about Twitter and Musk's takeover 3. The post quoted is in response to a question posed to you after you posted this So @sidcow is challenging your opinion AND keeping the topic focussed on the topic at hand Asking him what he's "pratlling" on about when he's directly responding to your posts and then claiming it has nothing to do with what you've said, is quite frankly just disengenuous. You clearly know what he's refering to and if you don't well you should start reading your own posts
  6. Phil Colllins was an amazing drummer, shame he decided to start singng
  7. I've posted the account a few times before but the numpties who reply thinking its serious are just the best form of entertainment twitter has. Check the replies to the second tweet, the numbskull doubles down. Note how how he doesn't even attempt to correct the bit about the mustangs and the B52, which are clearly a Hurricane, a Lancaster and a Spitfire From his profile he's also a Brexiteer This is what Twitter is for
  8. You've stuffed your quote up, that wasn't me
  9. And the final album from Invada today. Another soundtrack, this time to La Panthere des Neiges. A French documentary about snow leopards by Marie Amiguet and Vincent Munier. The soundtrack is written by Warren Ellis and Nick Cave For some reason I ordered the bog standard version but ended up with the picture disc version, which was more expensive. I'm not really a pic disc fan but I also can't be arsed with the complaining and sending it back This really does contain some fantastic instrumental pieces (and a theme song featuring Cave). I've not seen the film but I'd really like to.
  10. 1. Musk is part of "the right" 2. The left aren't really having a shit fit, most of them really are laughing like drains at the stupidity of what Musk has done and is going to do. The left loves a right winger losing billions of dollars 3. It really isn't just "the left" talking about Musk / Twitter in a bad way, see Lou Paskalis tweets above. He's no lefty, he was someone Musk was talking to to help solve the advertising problem up until he called out Musk for talking bollocks You appear to have a really bad take on the situation
  11. The nationalistic North West think you have a big of a fetish going on in the West Midlands
  12. They have a centuries old tradition of cross dressing, so much so it's become their national costume. What do you think?
  13. Next is former PWEI frontman Clint Mansell's score for the Ben Wheatley film In The Earth Special Edition with die cut sleeve
  14. Twitter is your own echo chamber, its the same for left andf right alike. Both sides deliberately filter out all the sensible moderating influences and jsut follow people on their side and butt heads with the people on the extreme of the other side. There is no difference for left and right
  15. Fresh delivery today from Geoff Barrow's Invada label. First up and a new signing to the label, who I already liked, Wigan's bedroom psychy electronic pop from TV AM with his new album out today High Art Lite Love the cover too, if I had another, I'd put that on the wall
  16. It won't because Putin doesn't have an off ramp. His rhetoric throughout has been way over the top, he has extremists pushing him harder etc
  17. So, there will also be another 45 T-72 MBTs from the Netherlands (They were all sourced from the Czech Republic) The Phoenix Ghost Drones have been specially built for Ukraine and have never been seen in public or on a battlefield before More air defence is good Also note the 40 Armoured Boats, that is more significant than it appears moving forward I think
  18. Oh look, he's still an idiot. top of the bill arguing for negotiating with Russia
