  1. Erm… definitely something odd going on on the left bank of the Dnipro This is the town at the other end of the Antonovsky Bridge It was reported yesterday that there were no Russians to be seen now this
  2. There's a topic for Stand up comedy now, please use that
  3. Its easy to make peace, just eff off out of Ukraine but he isn't going to do that, he's much happier driving his country back to 1946
  4. Transport and import duties would come into play. Then there's economy of scale, Australia isn't a largely populated country so the market itself isn't that big and you being in Perth are at the wrong end of the country too I'd imagine
  5. This is the content you've always wanted. Quite clear now why @tonyh29 hates the French
  6. Have you ever driven the A50? Bastard of a road
  7. Drones, though last week they claimed they'd stopped supplying them, even though previously they'd denied supplying them. There is significant opposition in Iran to the supply of drones to Russia because their mantra has always been neither east not west and that opposition from hardline clerics has become very vocal in recent weeks. It does seem like the Russians have almost run out of Iranian drones, there hasn't been much talk of them recently. Multiple reasons, Ukraine are very good at shooting them down now, Russia were having to send them in swarms of 10-15. Irans capacity to make them is only 150 per week
  8. There was also a report late last night of a firefight in Hola Prystan, also on the left bank but actually by the mouth of the estuary
  9. Well what it does is bring the fight much closer to Crimea, further threatens the few supply lines remaining and sort of creates a trap that the Russians have to respond to
  10. Turning into a bit of grinding stalemate right now But that might be because it suits Ukraine though. It appears the HIMARS etc have all been focused on Kherson, I saw a photo earlier of 9 of them together. If they push too far in Luhansk in the north of that front, they'll reach the border and that means they'd have to defend the border, which will tie troops up without much opposition to fight. Ukraine still appear to be advancing in pockets but taking their time over it
  11. They might just be going on holiday, as there's a six week break
  12. Very interesting thread and bear in mind this was written last night, way before this possibility appeared to be in play
  13. Its on the other side of the Dnipro estuary, so it is in effect behind enemy lines as it is connected by land to the Left (East) bank that the Russians have just retreated to and not the Kherson right bank. The Russians will be forced to respond but this isn't just HIMARS territory its standard 155mm artillery range too. So if Ukraine have done this it is audacious but because of the artillery range of the 155's on the Kherson side of the river, it is also protected in a way that will be hard for the RUssians to approach but they surely must respond I remain sceptical tbh but if it is true its both brave and devious
