  1. No because that isn't what the WHO is, it doesn't control our health care, it informs and advises us and the rest of the world on the best approaches to diseases etc You appear tio be fiollowing a very strange narrative where the WHO is a maignant organisation, for all it's faults it is there for the good of mankind. It is not a demon. It gets things wrong, yes but thats it. The WHO has no power over any of our healthcare, to believe that it has is tin foil hat time. We and all other countries make our own decisions, we take the WHO advice (and other bodies advice too) into account when making healthcare decisions. We have complete autonomy over our decisions (or our governments do)
  2. Add into that mix that it eventually gets regulated. I'd imagine it would get included in GDPR2 for sure I'd be interested to see how a test case in the EU goes for GDPR / CCTV, I suspect Tesla would lose. It just needs someone to pull the trigger.
  3. Imagine that, the World Health Organisation having an effect on our health care. What next the World Wildlife Fund having an effect on our wild animals?
  4. It's more likely to happen the less you pay them and it's more likely to happen the more people see MPs getting away with it
  5. Russians in crimea are desperately trying to sell up and bugger off. Non-Ukrainian passport holders (or more specifically Russian only passport holders) will be deported when Ukraine retakes Crimea. I'm fairly sure Ukraine have already said this.
  6. Hmm that's not quite it either. It's a valid point but there are other factors too With Tesla people were/are gambling on the future tech of self driving cars and Tesla were at one point seen as the market leader in EVs The end point of SDCs is a lot further away than those gambling on that realised plus there are more players in that game than previously. On the EV point, the traditional vehicle manufacturers have caught up by a big distance and a tesla is now essentially an overpriced status symbol of a car with little sign of future models at the correct price point going to emerge. Teslas are the equivalent of MacBooks right now
  7. Agreed but it also has significant dips in share price around the time a) Musk made his original offer for Twitter and b) when he was forced to accept it. Yes Tesla is vastly over-priced but some of the recent losses are also down to the Twitter fiasco
  8. A year ago Tesla shares were $385, they are now $185. Lost over 50% in a year. Not all of that is down to Musk and his Twitter purchase but some of it is. I think the money he borrowed to buy Twitter is backed with Tesla share guarantees.
  9. I wonder if he realises burning books is absolutely pointless in this day and age
  10. Going back to the MPs Pay distraction. Your bog standard MP is underpaid for what they do. They need to be paid a lot more IMO but remove any form of second income. This is the only way to get talented people elected with as little corruption as possible Complaining about MPs pay is a distraction that always happens every year and the issue isn't the pay rise.
  11. Soooooo, Elon Musk, the lies about his academic career and thus his resulting lack of visa. Someone did some digging. A loooong thread (69 Tweets) but it is worthy of a read if you have the time. It's an absolute can of worms if the US government wanted to open it.

    Energy Bills

Combi-boilers not tanks though surely? And I don't see how lagging a combi-boiler does anything I've honestly never lived in a house with a gas heated tank in the loft. I'm genuinely curious if that is a thing, just because it's something I've never really encountered.

    Energy Bills

gas water tanks? Do people actually have those? I've always assumed hot water tanks were electric immersion heaters
  14. @Chindiehave you broken into my house today?
  15. It wasn't announced today. Tory MPs were already opposing it yesterday but the OBR factored it in to their assessment so that's where it has come from. I'm assuming it's re-adding the 5p that Sunak cut in March and adding the amount it was due to go up anyway (but never does)
  16. I'd guess that if current prices continue, that this will not happen. They'll be earning more on from VAT on the inflated fuel prices
  17. EU and NATO membership cannot be part of a Peace negotiation. Your suggested outcome isn't possible as the EU and NATO aren't at war with Ukraine, not only that but both organisations have strict membership rules. NATO can't allow Ukraine to join whilst they have territorial disputes. Ukraine will never cede their land to Russia but for peace to hold Ukraine must be in NATO to have the protection of the nuclear umbrella This idea that there will be talks and that Ukraine will accept loss of territory, is very much a talking point that Russia and it's agents are pushing. It will not happen. Russia needs to be completely out of Ukraine to the 1991 border and Ukraine needs to be in NATO,. It is the only way lasting peace can happen.
  18. Nah it's much higher, rough figures 90k for MP, another 65k for Cabinet minister, though junior ministers (Non-cabinet) are much closer I think But even if it was that, the cost would only be 5% of £140 = £7
  19. I had the exact same thought when I saw that one. No clue either.
  20. Well quite but this bit... Fills the "Black Hole" The rest of the rises are for what exactly? I'm all in favour of most of what they've done, though I don't think the time was right to introduce Vehicle Excise Duty to Electric Cars
  21. Your are correct, she is mentioned. So that's two dead people mentioned in a song written 40 years ago. It'll get them going down the pub quiz for sure
  22. Sorry, I've just told you everything I know. (I looked it up yesterday when I saw the same map)
  23. Johnny Cash cover is also a good version of this.
