  9. All women to recieve free cooking lessons
  10. to be honest, they didn't do THAT much in that direction anyway. It was a five strikes policy and to actually get perma-banned you had to breach it many more times than that
  11. Not really, it's all about optics. Telegram and TS don't even hit the usage stats in the US. Their userbase is that low. Twiter is only used by 23% of the population by way of comparison, even Reddit is now climbing and at 18%. Facebook is flatlining but at 69% but Youtube is the daddy at 81% and still climbing. Twitter's usage has been in slight decline for a few years, it's a niche platform at best. Telegram and TS are just very obscure
  12. Our corporate account is definitely getting some very strange followers again. I've no doubt the porn bots will start again soon
  13. Child Sexual Abuse takes it into a whole new ballpark They can all hide behind first ammendments rights to a degree on most things and if there's no political will to challenge that, nothing will happen. Before Musk at least Twitter was making the right sort of moves, banning the likes of Trump etc now, Musk has allowed them back so moves were being mooted straight away because of that alone Allowing and enabling child abuse and child sexual abuse crosses the rubicon though and decimating your worldwide staff that deal with that means not only are those behaviours being enabled (regardless of what Musk says) but the penalties are actually far worse too. Just remember when governments around the world attempt to censor the internet further, it was probably Musk that pushed them into it. He'll achieve the opposite of what he claims to have set out to do.
  14. So the sun has sun has gone down for the final time
  15. Apple isn't choosing this fight, Musk is. Apple have no option but to respond (read article I posted above). Musk can shit talk all he likes about Apple, they are only doing what they have to to keep themselves out of a huge regulationary battle. They'd rather battle a fight they can win, than one they can't. They'd rather have no fight at all but that decision lies with Musk alone
  16. If this continues, I think Apple & Google may have no option but to remove Twitter from their platforms, it really doesn't matter how much Musk shit tweets Apple, this won't even be a decision made on political grounds, it'll be made on not getting their arse handed to them on plates by regulators grounds. Selected highlights from a decent article on the issues about CSAM material on Twitter To think that this is something that he can take Apple on and win, is delusional enough but what he's actually taking on is governments all around the world If he carries this on, say bye bye to Twitter and Musk will say bye bye to $44bil (and a huge chunk of his Tesla investment which he used as collateral) ARS Technica
  17. And the other purchase was this, Linton Kwesi Johnson's debut Album (as Poet and the Roots) on the Virgin Frontline label from 1978. Produced by the great Dennis Bovell It's not the best copy but I've wanted this for a while
  18. Oops, had to go out and about doing a few laptop deliveries to staff today and one of them lived pretty close to a new s/h record shop thats opened up not to far from me. It was meant to be shut but the owner just happened to be in there and let me in. Had a bit of a chat an all that, turns out I missed a gig there on Saturday afternoon that I'd have liked and didn't know about (Grrr) and there's actually a decent selection of records there I may be interested in at some point. I came away with a couple and I'll definitely be paying further visits This one from 1984, David Sylvian's debut solo album after the Japan split. Again aided by his brother Steve Jansen, Richard Barbieri (Both Japan), Holgar Czukay (Can), Ryuichi Sakamoto (Yellow Magic Orchestra) plus others It's much closer in sound to Japan but the later ambient works influences are starting to filter in. This is in such good nick the cover is still in the original shrink wrap and a very good vinyl copy. A steal at £15
  19. Yeah they are called Pagan vegans
