  1. The Guy Hamper Trio featuring James Taylor - All the Poisons in the Mud Yet another of Wild Billy Childish's incarnations, this time WBC does Booker T (as you'd imagine with James Taylor in there) I've always been a sucker for that Stax blues Hammond Organ thing
  2. Pffft, where do these people get off pushing these crap films that no-one has heard of and telling us they are great Must be obscure for a reason If Caddyshack isn't in the list, the list is worthless And why so much obscure French, German, Italian, Japanese and even Russian films It's even got that Japanese rip off of the Magnificent Seven in it, yet ignores the masterpiece itself Music snobs wouldn't do this thats for sure
  3. Phillip Madoc's ex-wife Ruth has died at 79
  4. Pretty strange. The Wedding Present, remixed (completely rerecorded on samplers and sequencers more like) by The Utah Saints. Kinda strange but I like it
  5. And wrong. NATO is not an economic power. Conflating NATO with the EU or anything else is wrong. You are right that the threat is economic and social. That has nothing to do with NATO and that’s why what you said is rubbish.
  6. Like I said NATO is not the threat, close alignment with liberal democracies and specifically in this instance the EU is the threat and in your very first sentence you said it was NATO but not militarily. That is specifically wrong.
  7. Without a shadow of doubt. The random spam DMs have kicked off again. It used to just be pornbots now it’s all kinds of nonsense, betting tips on the World Cup, you name it, getting all sorts of rubbish sent
  8. NATO expansion is not a threat to Russia. NATO expansion is a direct result of increased Russian aggression.
  9. As an aside, this is the reason I have a Revolut account. It's not my main account but I couldn't be arsed actually paying for a physical card so I can only use it with Apple Pay etc in shops and for online purchases I use a single use virtual card that expires once its been used, then set up another in seconds the next time I want to use it I could even give you an introduction code that earns me £60 when you spend enough on it but why bother when you can just download their App from your App store of choice
  10. Rubbish, Ukraine was threat in that sense because it wanted to become more aligned with a Western Democracy, it's membership of NATO is utterly irrelevant. If anything, Ukraine's desire to join the EU was far more of a "threat." NATO has always been an excuse for Russia, they don't feel militarily threatened by NATO because NATO has never made moves to invade Russia (because Nukes). NATO responds to Russia's threat not vice versa. Russia understands this perfectly well EDIT: Leading up to this Ukraine was at least a decade away from joining NATO and as long as it had border disputes like you know, with Russia being on its territory, it could never join. The only way it could have joined would have been to voluntarily ceded its lands to Russia and it was never going to do that. Russia fully understood that, which is a huge reason why it invaded in 2014 and annexed Crimea etc. NATO is and always has been an excuse.

  13. There's a village near me called Lunt, it happens all the time. The people who live there then complain to the local Reach Shitrag, the council come and repair the sign and more people know its a funny thing to do to get a reaction, rinse and repeat

  16. Obviously, they were also state of the art at the time and just as addictive as todays games because the increase of technology in time doesn't increase the release of endorphins any more. My point was that the 70s and 80s were not video game free times, they existed, they were played, they were a thing.
  17. Video games were around in the late 70s, we played them all the time. Pong machines were 1973, Atari 2600 was 1977, Intellivision was 1980. We played all three of those
  18. The Royal New Zealand Navy discontinued the daily rum ration? Bit extreme as reactions go but each to their own.
