I just find it dull and uninteresting. There's nothing there to hate even, its that boring I bought it because I like the National (and to an extent Bon Iver). I've played it a few times over the months just to make sure, everytime I see someone praising it, I think maybe its just the mood I was in at the time but nope... it really does nothing for me every single time

The Ukrainian people seem to be pretty solid in their thoughts on the matter in every opinion poll I've seen conducted on the issue. (Usual caveats obviously) I also don't see any signs of dissent in Ukraine about their stance nor do you see many if any signs of suppression of dissent

I really like The National. Big Red Machine on the other hand is the worst album I've speculatively bought in a decade I have a mental list of records I might trade in at some point, duplicates and records I don't really play etc. It sits right at the top of that list

There are plenty of people who buy old cars for a song and salvage every single part they can to sell on ebay etc. One man band scrap merchants if you like. There were British people that would have welcomed the German invasion from Operation Sealion. What point are you trying to make. The Russians invaded Donbas in 2014 and have substantially changed the population since then I'm also getting a sense of, you've been invaded put up with it or die from that - which quite frankly just boggles my mind
