  1. How long would it take a Ukrainian pilot to train on NATO fighters do you think? There's also a risk of capture of the best weapons and they really do need to avoid that. Ukraine is already being equipped with weaponry that is generations ahead of what Russia is currently using. There aren't any weapons that are going to win this war in days unless NATO and its troops itself got involved and that is highly likely to start WWIII
  2. Not sure why you think NATO can have a reaction other that what it is already doing
  3. Ah didn’t know it was about his wife, it was just so untypical it was a bit of a shock
  4. Time for the joint double before bed. Disc 1 - Protodroids - Clouds of Venus. Disc 2 - Correlations - Zodiac Rising
  5. Oh there’s always a record in the first few weeks of Jan that the record companies push. Sometimes it’s very obvious. Last year there was two, Yard Act and Wet Leg. I didn’t mind either of them. Going back years I remember Franz Ferdinand were the Jan push band. This year it seems to be Jamie T. Well his ruination of This Mortal Coils cover of Big Star’s Kangaroo is seriously f***ing shit. I think it’s called 90s Cars. Its utterly rubbish
  6. Yep Kallax are THE perfect record shelving for large collections. Relatively cheap but sturdy beyond their price. I’ve got 2 units and if I could fit in a third I would
  7. Just been out the back to put something in the bin, on the single story roof are two partidges sat with their backs to the wall of the house, just sat there, not a care in the world. Obviously clever little buggers because they are on the lee side of the roof out of the wind and sat up against the house wall getting some of the warmth. They really look like they have not a care in the world, I'm about 3 feet away and neither of them flinched, they look quite serene even if it is cold
  8. Well, that was a nice surprise, arrived home to my latest Castles in Space Subscrription Records. I'd forgotten some were due and Colin the bloke that runs it is a wee bit unorganised so things sort of just appear and even if he sends an email saying he's going to send records out on Monday, you only half believe him. I thought, wow this package is heavy. His lack of organisation has reached new levels, he's actually sent me the three albums, including a double (a proper double - 2 artists, 1 album each) that were due and the previous two, which I'd already got and hadn't complained about not getting at all. There's no point sending them back because, he'll just tell me to keep them or give them to someone, as I've seen him do to everyone else who has recieved duplicates. I think I might go and see if there's anything I can play swapsies with in a local record second hand shop that does actually also stock some new CIS stuff Anyway first on was this afp - Barefoot and now I'm onto this Monochrome Echo - The City and the Stars (nice cover) Both albums are synthy ambience but the afp one is more towards drone and the Monochrome Echo one is slightly more melodic That leaves the double for after work tomight or in the morning And just to piss me off, I think I need a new needle
  9. Good job my mate in work reminded me it was a Friday deadline, I was going to do it tomorrow Went with the plan in the post above
  10. That very question backs up exactly what @KentVillan was saying. External cause, not a government cause. Neither the UK nor Germany started the Yom-Kippur War. How the two governments dealt with that has nothing to do with the trigger for inflation which is what was being discussed.
  11. Might have to poach a few off you
  12. Well the obvious candidate is Smashey, so in true crime detective form I'm going with Nicey, just too nice to be trusted
  13. Well we all know which definition is correct and which one is American
  14. He ain't seeing anything now.... soz
  15. My current thinking is... Transfer Kepa for De Gea & Walker for Akanji TC for Haaland Baring any late PC news today thats the way I'm heading this week. Gives me 6 double ups
  16. Do you always argue with industry experts with no research and zero knowledge in the field? Come back to me with comparisons of Wolves and other local authorities Private Hire regulations and show me examples of where the other LAs have stricter criteria than Wolves. Then come back to me with the waiting times for new applicants at those other LAs Maybe then we'll be able to have a meaningful conversation
  17. Local authorities are able to set their own criteria for taxi licensing. They aren't stopping people from driving, just driving taxis
  18. SInce COVID, there are an awful lot of Local Authorities throughout the country who have taxi licensing backlogs of over two years for new applicants. In fact I think I saw some figures the other day that said that was around the average delay. Wolves 3 months (though that is creeping up) That's the level of efficiency I'm talking about. What LAs have done with Taxi Licensing (or not actually done) since COVID is an absolute scandal The system is utterly broken. Wolves at least are getting people on the road and earning money
  19. So not exceptionally dull then?
  20. C'mon pull your....can't be bothered
