  1. New stylus arrived a day early. Now not convinced I need one. It seems like it was the (brand new) record I was playing. Grrrrrr Anyway... Burning Spear - Reggae Greats. One of the great Island Records Greats compilations from the mid-eighties. I have a couple of others too, if I ever spot others of bands I like at a reasonable price, they'll be in the bag. But the prices for 2nd hand reggae records can be obscene. These were mid-price compilations at the time (£4.99 I paid for this from the sticker) but now some of them fetch £30 upwards, like the Toots and the Maytals one which I used to have but is lost in the mists of time. Anyway. A great Burning Spear primer
  2. Currently have De Gea and Rashford, looking for a third but unsure where to go or who to replace if I'm completely honest But my first priority maybe to replace Mitro as he surely can't be on pens any longer but unless forced to I'm not making any transfers this week
  3. Now you're starting to sound like Aaron Bastani (Fully Automated Luxury Communism)
  4. Ah cross purposes, though you were referring to the leader match up polling data from this morning
  5. Who said it was anything to do with policy? It's just public perception, which has far more to do with an impression as portrayed by the media than any specific policies. Hence Corbyn approaching 100% left. It would be interesting to see what the perception of Mick Lynch is. I reckon he'd be to the right of Corbyn when the reality is that he's further to the left.
  6. London is late to this party, they need to get used to it. The rest of us have had them for decades
  7. I didn't read all of that but I kind of gave up quite early on in his going through the pledges because Starner was deemed to go against a pledge because he'd whipped the party to abstain on an issue not vote against it. There are all manner of reasons to do that, none of which he addresses. Also, as said above, Bastani is a monumental bellend whose brand of "journalism" is less than honest (just like the research in his own his PhD). He's also not very good at fact checking. Just one example that is still out there... That's the UK Govt, guilty of selling table salt for chemical weapons
  8. Granola. And with a much lower sugar content than most brands
  9. No as it happens. In our house cereal, especially atm gets used infrequently so it's at a much higher risk of going stale. Rice and pasta don't suffer from that anywhere near as much EDIT: And now I think about it, the last few lots of cereal I bought came in bags that aren't resealable (Under £2 from Home Bargains)
  10. On a scale of 1-100 how far left or right do you think Leader X is? It's about subject perception of where they lie on the scale
  11. Definitely get a Pornhub deal
  12. So why would they risk upsetting that by appearing to endorse the new Corbyn (and Lynch is worse than Corbyn) We've all seen what happens
  13. Mick Lynch = Derek Hatton. Trotskyite populist. And that’s one huge reason why you'll never see the Labour front bench share a platform with Mick Lynch. They’d be crucified in the press for it. I actually did listen to the video. He didn’t actually say anything of any consequence. Just Labour front bench bad because that's really all he cares about ultimately. Also note that he was introduced by Eddie the hooligan. Eddie Dempsey really isn’t a very nice person Lynch and Dempsey are both huge Brexit whoppers too. When you hear people say “this isn’t the Brexit I voted for” exclude these two. This is exactly the Brexit they campaigned for. They actively campaigned for Brexit, knowing that it would make working people poorer and they could organise strikes and from those strikes they'd be recruiting for their leftist cult. And once the workers get sucked in, then they'll be expected to pay subscriptions and contribute financially to the party, making them poorer still. Don't get suckered into this bollocks, they have about as much real interest in the workers as the Tory Party. For both them and the Tories, the workers are something to exploit. Same as it ever was. Nothing has changed
  14. You're all wrong about pikelets. Pikelets are what you heathens call Scotch Pancakes And why is this right and everyone else is wrong? Because the derivation of the word is from the Welsh for sticky or dark bread… bara pyglyd
  15. Yeah but todays rapist had something like 9 previous complaints about his behaviour that were all ignored
  16. Nah, if you look closely at the start there's another explosion to the left inside the woods. It's been hit by something other than a mine and whatever it was had another go for the second tank but missed and hit the woods instead
  17. No, I think you're in the right ballpark tbh
  18. Plussed isn't a word. Nonplus is a straight port from latin I think (Non plus = No further), it isn't a word with a prefix in front of it. I suppose you'd call it a false prefix or something or other
  19. Hirwaun Tower Colliery No 4. Thats where our coal came from
  20. Sounds perfect, I like burnt toast. Anaemic toast is what should be banned As for crumpets, the only correct way to toast them is open coal fire and a toasting fork but sadly, I haven't had access to one of those for decades
