  1. There's also the idea that Germany was more responsible than most for creating the Russian monster in the first place. Before the war Germany imported almost half of its natural gas from Russia and was always the country cosying up to Putin as a result of that relationship
  2. Well banning Swedish House Mafia has to be a start
  3. Those are the not adjusted for GDP figures iirc Also this table shows the split of types of aid and includes a %GDP figure Canda has provided more weapons and financial aid that Germany and contributed a much higher % of its GDP Germany is at about half the level of other countries, apart from France And that chart doesn't show the Baltic states which are all at about 1% of GDP
  4. That isn't true. Markets like stability, a constant merry go round of no policy would bring that. It wasn't the Truss leadership campaign that caused market instability, it was installing the barmpot as leader that caused the financial turmoil.
  5. DIsagree. I'll have one every couple of months until they are gone. Anything to distract them and eat into their time left. The less time they have to do things the better. They aren't intent on changing anything for the good
  6. This is an interesting read. The return of Putin shill Medvedchuck to the public arena. Carnegie Endowment for Global Peace.
  7. Fraser Nelson and the Spectator advocating for Boris Johnson. In other news, water is wet. All part of the re-elect Boris campaign
  8. The pictured band is not the band that recorded TTLTWTOTC. Pictured is The Room Mk II and the song is Mk I Great tune though Second album (the one that Mk II recorded), In Evil Hour, partly produced by Tom Verlaine is one of those lost classic albums of the era imo.
  9. I have a gig this Friday. The Room. Liverpool 80s post-punk band have reformed. A band that really did not get the recognition they deserved, split in 1985. I was at the last gig and I'll be at the first back. Shortly after that last gig Dave Jackson and Becky Stringer formed Benny Profane, who I went on to work for, for a couple of years. Becky and Dave have been friends ever since, so this will be very much a gig and a social event but I'm really looking forward to it. New album due in April I think.
  10. Whilst we're at it, this story broke yesterday I think. Much more on the Guardian article
  11. From the above album, this is just as relevant today as it was then Clail rapping over a Dub Syndicate riddim with I think Bim Sherman in the mix too
  12. Anyway I'm on semi-ancient On-U from 1990. The On-U Sound system days Having put on the sound system myself three times and worked at / paid in / blagged in to loads more this really was my thing around those times No record would ever get close to the sound system live experience. It really was sort of unqiue back then. Gary Clail would just make up tunes from segments and samples of On-U off cuts as well as completely f***ing up other recognised On-U tunes. Then sometimes you'd have Mark Stewart live rapping over the top of Clails tunes. But anyway, this does take me back to those venues and times even if you can't replicate it Right now I'm remembering blagging in to a place functionally called the Venue in Edinburgh. Just tell Gary Taff from Livepool is here. The most overconfient blag in the world. The bloke on the door actually did, then Mark Stewart came to the door, and just went yep, let him in. I just sat on the stage with them buying them drinks aside from the occaisional going mental on the dancefloor. Then we went to some party off Leith Walk. How the f*** I opened the venue and did the sound and lights for at least 4 plays / dance shows the next morning I have no idea but thats just what we did back then, work, get pissed, no work, go to gig get pissed rinse and repeat
  13. No, wheras with the Rainford set, I have a slight preference for the dub version
  14. Which version of the album do you prefer Rockers or Scorchers?
  15. US appears to be sticking 2 fingers up at Germany
  16. Lunch for tomorrow is Carrot, Ginger and Tumeric Soup. Just had a quick taste and it'll hit the spot. Adapted to my soup maker from this recipe Tesco
  17. I was close this week tbh but vice captained him in the end (thankfully) Quite pleased with my shifting to Akanji for my Man City defender.
  18. No I agree, it not as simple as i painted and your right, it's highy unlikely to happen without German consent but Poland seem hell bent on doing it too, something will eventually give I guess
  19. When all the countries that currently have the Leopard 2 and want to supply some to Ukraine finally tell Germany to stick their licensing deal up their rectum and supply them anyway, your scenario is in greater danger than if Germany agreed with the transfer to Ukraine because they'd still have a credible licensing deal and a degree of control. If the other countries go it alone anyway, Germany looks to have a piece of paper that means nothing
  20. 148 Challenger 3 currently under contrct to be built in Telford
  21. When Laura the Tory ends up asking you why you've come on the programme when you knew what the topic was and know nothing says it all
