  1. Anyone making any brave captaincy choices this week? I'm currently on Haaland but I'm seriously thinking I may need to take a punt on Nketiah
  2. Completely agree, I did jump on him because of his stats. He couldn't finish a 2 year olds jigsaw, got rid
  3. Or he could walk into a new job pretty quickly, I doubt any company in Silicon Valley takes being sacked by Musk as anything other than a nothing burger
  4. Tories didn't vote, most people didn't vote. I've been in and around Ormskirk lots of times in the last few weeks, you wouldn't have known there was a by-election tbh. Labour probably got their core vote out in Skem, job done.
  5. I doubt he'll have ruined anyone's career. Fired by Musk will be a badge of honour
  6. To be honest, I didn’t even realise the bye-election was on and I only live a couple miles from the border
  7. I got one too for £216 But as they were already doing this to me I was hardly shocked by it, it's about £4 a week in my case Work continued to pay us the £6 WFH thing way beyond when it ran out so I'm effectively paying that back
  8. Roger Waters doesn't like himself
  9. How long before Johnson decides that Mid-Bedfordshire is a place close to his heart?
  10. He wasn't in the Labour Party at the time, they'd suspended him nearly 2 years prior to the investigation. He is a bad word removed for sure but his corruption (the reason he'sbeen jailed) has nothing to do with Labour. It hasn't stopped the media announcing him as "former Labour MP" even though he was only a Labour MP for little over 4 months and an Independent MP for much longer. Labour did offer to have him back at one point but it didn't happen (I forget why) but it's also important to remember, O'Mara was a Corbyn supporter and this was very much at the time Corbyn was most definitely in charge with his people in place in the Labour Party
  11. He won't turn up until they have the dog cornered
  12. This was yesterday or the day before. More pictures of the 31 vehicles in the thread
  13. I'd say no. I'm hoping to go KDB to Bruno after the Man U blank week KDB is less nailed on than he has been and is blanking an awful lot. I'm only keeping him right now because I have other fish to fry right now. Even if KDB plays a full 90 both games, it's highly likely on current form to be just 4 points, Bruno could easily outscore him despite the double
  14. The first Bacharach composition I bought (I think)
  15. The Comic Strip Presents... came before The Young Ones but The Young Ones had the greater impact I agree but that was down to the respective audiences of Ch4 / BBC and the CSP was aired on CH4's opening night. But anyway.... my point was, it wasn't the Young Ones that signalled the end of the turgid 60s and 70s formulaic sitcoms, it was the new channel - Ch4, they dragged the BBC in particular into the new era. Ch4 when it started was an absolute breath of fresh air, it ripped up the TV scheduling conventions, it did things other channels wouldn't have dared to, some of it worked, some of it was awful but it isn't an understatement to say that Ch4 revolutionised UK TV and especially the sitcom / comedy fields. A lot of that early Ch4 output was also down to The Comic Strip and it's members (Who were indeed the cast of The Young Ones)
  16. Sunak has clearly borrowed those boots from someone, they are 5 sizes too big
  17. Yep, was suspended by the Labour Party for essentially fly tipping a load of boulders to prevent travellers using a site. He received an ASBO for that Though he claims he left due to the hard left takeover of Labour. He was suspended in 2018, immediately joined the Tory Party and was elected an MP in 2019. He only got elected because lots of votes in his constituency moved from Labour to "The Ashfield Independents." His share of the vote was actually reduced. There is a strong presumption that the Indie votes will wane in his constituency and Labour will retake the seat at the next election. He's a prime example of someone that entered politics for his own gain, he didn't care which party he joined, just the one that would get him elected. His views on any subject you'd like to mention are usually reprehensible
  18. Oh that's nothing, just wait until you read the Spectator interview, made before his new job but released today. Bring back the death penalty including a quote along the lines of "No dead person ever committed a crime" The Tory Party have already had to distance themselves from him
