  1. And finally from todays purchases Shame's new and third album Food For Worms I thought a while back that having two Shame albums was enough but I'd heard enough of this and read a few reviews to change my mind. It's definitely a step forward and a much more mature album. It's still Shame but there's much more variety and the arrangements are much more considered. It seems like the new approach they've adfopted has paid off
  2. Ok this is obscure and bought on a complete whim based on the description in Probe and that its on Finders Keepers Never been released on vinyl before. A soundtrack to a Polish (Communist Poland) film from 1972 This is the description on the sticker from the shop 1972 Kosmiche Psyche Polish Soundtrack. This music must have been frowned upon by the authorities (hence it was never rleased) Andrej Korzynski-s soundtrack to Zulawski's Diabel (The Devil)
  3. https://www.stanleygibbons.com/ SG are THE authority on stamp prices
  4. Not really worth jack shit. I have about 30 years worth of UK FDCs, not worth a carrot
  5. I don't know too much about this apart from Gina Birch is an original member of The Raincoats and I really liked the title track that I heard on the radio. Really liking it so far, especially the dubby Pussy Riot track (its not all like that though, really quite varied in styles) EDIT: Having now perused the sleeve notes, this is co-produced by Birch and Youth, Youth also plays on a good number of tracks. Also features Thurston Moore and Helen McCookerybook amonst others. It's also on that Jack White's Third Man label. Gina Birch - I Play My Bass Loud
  6. Anyways, I think I've been waiting 6 months for this. CD was released ages ago, the vinyl has finally arrived Adrian Sherwood presents Dub No Frontiers. Unusually released on Peter Gabriels Realword Records. An absolute labour of love for AMS a good number of years in the making. Dub is a very male oriented musical genre, AMS is attempting to address that by releasing an album of ten different female voices from all over the globe with completely different backgrounds. This was a project started by AMS with Style Scott and Scott has been dead 9 years now, so that gives you an indication of how long this has been going on. Also half of the tracks were recorded at Channel One in Jamaica, presumably the earlier tracks which Style Scott was involved with. Anyway, this album is fantastic
  7. Stop it. stop embarrassing yourself, you'll be using the term vinyls next
  8. See thats why Corbyn isn't a Labour MP any more EHCR He didn't accept it either
  9. Got a link to that claim? As I recall there were a good number of CLPs where similar could be said. Neighbouring Riverside for one.
  10. 45% of the population would live abroad if they could right now, some survey done last week. Can't remember where though
  11. What you mean like the chair chair of the CLP promoting antisemetic Rothschild conspiracy theories on a David Icke show? Or did you miss this? Guardian (more on link)
  12. I already have pointed you in the direction of people from her own constituency - AKA the Pot Bangers

    UK - Israel

This isn't a topic on the relationship between the UK and Israel because if it is the opening post is off-topic and so is every subsequent one Please decide what you actually want this topic to be and start again
  14. Name the last MP to cross the floor that resigned as an MP? It doesn’t happen Why hasn't Corbin resigned his seat? He’s no longer a Labour MP, maybe he’s a delicate flower too. But considering the anti-Semitic hate Berger faced from her own party members, your comments are rather in bad taste. And before you say she made it up, she didn't, there are a group of former Militant supporters (who shouldn’t be in the party but someone let them back in) who really did abuse, known locally as the pot bangers, after they stood on the Picton Clock roundabout banging their saucepans for weeks on end.
  15. This is John Dwyer and friends. John Dwyer of The Oh Sees (or whatever they call themselves this minute) Instrumentals, no vocals, just jamming. This is Jazz. Heavy psyche improv Jazz John Dwyer, Ryan Sawyer, Peter Kerlin, Brad Caulkins, Kyp Malone, Tom Dolas, Marcos Rodriguez, Andres Renteria, Ben Boye, Laena Myers-Ionita And Joce Soubrian – Moon-Drenched
  16. That really is a stretch. Zelensky said he'll meet Xi. He'll tell him the same as he's been saying for the last year, that the war ends when Russia removes itself from Ukraine. Right now, there's no way he can say anything else To not meet Xi, would really be a slap in the face for the Chinese and if as the US currently says that the Chinese are considering sending drones and ammunition to Russia, anything he can do to stop that is good. I'd say they've only welcomed it in the way that it opens a door to speak to someone face to face and put your point across, nothing more.
  17. Only when Ukraine is whole again. I don't see how Ukraine agrees otherwise. And at that point, you're dealing with a different Russia, very different
  18. One of the better T-72s too, it still has its turret attached
  19. So, if I said Wolfgang Flur wrote a tune about Birmingham, you'll probably ignore that but you might listen if I say he was in Kraftwerk for 14 years up to 1987. Then I might tell you that the singer is Claudia Brucken (that's her from Propaganda), you might get really interested if I told you that the bass is played by Peter Hook from a couple of Manchster bands you might have heard of. Wolfgang Flur's writing partner is an electronic comoser by the name of Peter Duggal who is originally from Handsworth, he features too It genuinely is a song about Brum and it even mentions heavy metal
  20. There will be no negotiated end unless Russia withdraws back to pre-2014 borders. The Ukrainian people won't let Zelensky negotiate for anything less, they've invested thier lives and their blood into defending their homeland, there is no way they'll accept anything else And Chinas 12 point plan is nonsense designed to help Russia. An immediate end to unilateral sanctions, keeping supply chains stable etc and some of the points are just waffle to fill space - abandoning the cold war mentality
  21. I have same choice. I'm currently thinking Saka but only because of all the Liverpool fans in my league means their bias may work against them. Yes that is a very small straw I'm clutching And if people could stop selling Kane until the next gameweek that would be great as he's about to drop in value and I want to sell him next week Quite pleased that I'm putting out 11 players and have 6 DGW players without having to resort to any chips
  22. Press the button that says I want to leave, that puts you straight through usually to someone who has the power to give the discount back. I did it last year and got a faster broadband for over £30 a month less. There's no point waiting to get through, just hit the I want to leave option, anything else you do is a waste of time because you'll end up with that team in the end.
