  1. Not to mention most of the music industry indie and major relies on the BBCs patronage to promote their wares. I doubt there are many succesful UK based musical artists in the last 50 years that hasn't been given exposure by the BBC at the start of their career And that really isn't an exageration
  2. Isn't that the tourist attraction one somewhere near Stoke? Trentham Garden ways?
  3. Been shopping, tried to have restraint, failed but not completely Anyway, first up a soundtrack from the movie Men. Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury combine again on an Alex Garland project. Chillingly haunting sountrack with lots of very echoey voice as instrument compositions. Absolutely spine tingling in places Barrow and Salisbury are absolute masters of their craft, they combine their talents well
  4. This also goes back to what Maitlis was disciplined for In theory she was disciplined for stating her opinion but what she actually stated was obvious. Cummings broke lockdown rules, it was obvious to everyone except the local police force (yeah right) that he did. There really wasn't any ambiguity about it.
  5. If you want to discus waiting times at the GP Surgery, there's a baby eating thread just for that. It has nowt to do with the BBC
  6. Have you just come over on the gravy boat?
  7. Also in the shit biscuit list are these. Never has a tin of biscuits ever been so boring. In every tin there's a biscuit that gets left to last. This is a compilation of the biscuits that get left all in one place
  8. definitely in the small shit biscuit list for me
  9. I think he does give a shit, thats the whole point. He would always have been paid more for work on other channels, he chose the BBC because he believes in it. He's on record as saying that more than once.
  10. The club put up the assistant manager to contractually comply
  11. Linekers great, never scored at Villa Park
  12. They can't, they are contractually obliged by the PL to do interviews
  13. Maitlis is involved in political programming but she didn't break the impartiality rules, she stated the bloody obvious, that Cummings broke lockdown rules. That was a disgracful decision That was a personal attack on someone's disability Again, current events programming and it happened on air, that one was correct, it was unprofessional None of those are fair comparisons
  14. They won't. They'll claim it as a great success, people prefered it without any comment and get rid of everybody that talked permanently
  15. What’s your excuse for doing Tory things that Tories want you to do.
  16. Doing what the Tories want you to, isn’t a form of protest I recognise
  17. Clearly you took to the shandy at an early age
  18. No you don’t, you just don’t realise it. It isn’t a subscription you can dip in and out of. It isn’t just TV, it’s part of the fabric of the country, it’s the state broadcaster, it has other purposes aside from entertainment. It should be free of political bias in its output but it’s lost that and become propaganda for the government. It needs to be restored to what it was. As OBE said it used to be a thing to be proud of. It helped educate most of us on here when we were in school. It needs to be fought for not ditched like a subscription service. That really is Tory thinking.
